First I thought this series had an alternate level. Like, in a Silent Hill sort of way: people hallucinating or experiencing their fears and hopes on the island or criminals getting what they deserve by going through mentally demanding changes.

Ths was quite accurate, even with the
Spoiler:
polar bears and Walter speaking backwards.
They made sense, when considering his situation in life at the time of the crash. Recently, on the latest episodes of season 2, I don't know if things are the same anymore. I have to see more to make sense of them. I'm hooked even though it's not "artistical quality", just pure entertainment. <3

Jam it back in, in the dark.

The monster's like a balloon! It'll explode on the creators' hands when it grows old or too big. Sadly. It was a nice touch to the story, but should be forgotten now. I don't think it has anything to do with anything anymore. Only because I think the writers are making the series on the fly without knowing what happens in the episodes a few in the future.

They should just forget the older stuff that's happened but not contradict it (to satisfy the fans with magnifying glasses) and move on to new stuff. That's one of the charms of the series: every episode has some kind of "WTF"s in it.

And also. What the hell, Jack's not stale. Didn't you guys see the episodes with his past? He ruined his father's life for not staining his own career. He's badass the same way Wesley (in emo-mode) was in Angel. And also doesn't let philosophical-shit-sprouting fags like Locke (to whom I kinda relate to) rule over him. He's American!

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Eko - shot a dude at a very young age; presumbaly killed plenty other guys
Hurley - indirectly caused the deaths of two people
Kate - killed her father (or step father? I never truly understood her plot)
Sawyer - Killed the man he thought was Sawyer

Am I missing anyone? The island is filled with murderers.
Kind of makes me think how easy it really is to actually commit a homicide. The other "sins" mess with you more.

The first roaring one at night wasn't the monster whatever, it was the island's (or someone's) defence mechanism, i.e. a robot, which was later examined in the Season 1 finale.

The Foggy (non-sound-making) monster is a whole different being. And a boring one at that. It's been guiding Eko through his sleep now for a few episodes, I think, so it's not completely gone.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Maybe it's a shapeshifter? It's made out of angst anyway.

Could the horse Kate saw also be it?

Seriously, ditch the monster and focus on The Original Settlers' evilness. They're badass in their rampant haterism.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I personally like them. They're just so incomprehensible it gives the whole series a fear of their unpredictableness, you know. The horror aspect of the beginning of season 1 is back, in my opinion. They totally aren't going to let Michael out just yet. Even if it were possible, unlike what Desmond had empirically experienced.

Maybe it's a space station complex, that's just a huge bubble of ocean floating in space with fake always sunny sky with completely random and meteorologically illogical rainstorms. The thought gives me shivers.

They've got directions to lead the series to, alright.

EDIT: Another thing with he space stuff. The not-pushing-button leading to emo unstable gravity would even back up the story I just now jokingly conjured. D:

EDIT 2: That talking archaeopteryx was indeed creepy, now that I think of it. It said Kate's name too.

Isn't that how Season 2 was aired too? With a huge gap around New Year.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Sawyer's a movie nerd. How many movie references did he make during that single episode, did anyone count? :p

That Cheech & Chong one was pretty well placed.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

in regards to how he can physically move through time and space like that.
"Only fools are enslaved by time and space."

Desmond is no fool. □

An excellent episode, from my point of view. I'm more interested in character development than a weak plot anyway. They'll drag the story forward at some point when they feel like it (just like they've done for two whole seasons already, if someone hasn't been watching the show). In the mean time, I'll most probably be very content with what I'm seeing right now.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
