Somewhat sadly, Nobuo's work on the series is still some of the best video game music available, apart from being also groundbreaking and the most popular. It's got a good reason to be.
The other soundtracks and composers are mood-dependant, individuals, but Final Fantasy has good in everything. So I sometimes pop in a FF soundtrack whenever I have 3-4 hours to just chill to a soundtrack with incredible variation you really can't find anywhere else in the vgm world. Again, sadly. I'm not listening to Liberi Fatali non-stop or anything like that, though. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
