You can have such high speeds on private sites, where a lot of people seed files to maintain a high ratio, but on public trackers, I imagine it's quite rare to get 500 KB/s.
I recommend µTorrent, though. It's very similar to BitComet, but smaller in size and less taxing on RAM. Jam it back in, in the dark. Nothing wrong with not being strong
