Trevor Jones: marvel nemesis
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Christopher Lennertz: (in the first place he is working on Films, like Saint Sinner, Undercurrent, Supernatural Pilot Episode)
James Bond 007: From Russia with Love Medal of Honor: European Assault 187 Ride or Die Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault Medal of Honor: Rising Sun James Dooley SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs Combined Assault SOCOM 3: U.S. Navy SEALs Dead to Rights II Klaus Badelt: (I think that doesn't count, since he was only music arranger) Firefighter F.D.14 (only music arranger/composer was Norikazu Miura) Bill Brown:(atm he's working on CSI:NY, so I think he counts more as a TV-Composer than a VGM composer) Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield Return to Castle Wolfenstein Undying ... This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I considered Bill Brown for the first list I put up; however, he got his start writing VGM and has only recently moved into film and TV music. Lennertz and Dooley, though, have only done a few games apiece and started in TV, so I'll add them. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
There also is
Eric Serra: New York Race (The Game is based on the film, the 5th elment, but serra composed completely new music for the game. the music isn't even based on the themes of the film) I was speaking idiomatically. |
I finally discovered who composed the music for one of my favorite game soundtracks of all time, Dr. Brain Action Reaction (I kid you not).
Giorgio Bertuccelli Michael Skloff Never heard of them, but then, I've never heard of most non-vgm composers. Skloff's worked on a bunch of TV series according to IMDB, and Bertuccelli's done some TV series as well as a couple Italian movies. I wish I knew if they composed for any other games. The funny thing is that the music never even played in the game for whatever reason, but it's on the disc as Redbook Audio. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Wonderful Chocobo |
I've extensively researched Hayato Matsuo and he is definitely more of an anime composer than a VGM one. Koichi Sugiyama may have given him his start, but since 1993, it's mostly been anime from him. He's done quite a few vocal albums as well.
Interesting thread. Keep it up! There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Let's not forget the amazing mister Snow!
Mark Snow ~ Syphon Filter - The Omega Strain ~ Syphon Filter - Dark Mirror And a few more: Joris De Man (former tv composer) ~ Killzone Steve Jablonsky ~ Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars Sean Callery ~ 24 The Game ~ James Bond - Everything Or Nothing Justin Burnett ~ Metal Gear Solid 2 ~ Metal Gear Solid 3 Yuki Kajiura (EDIT: I see Taisai mentioned her, but she isn't in your list yet) ~ Xenosaga II ~ Xenosaga III BTW....the music Joel McNeely composed for Shadows Of The Empire, weren't specifically written for the videogame. So I don't think he should be in this list!! (It was a soundtrack based on the novel, the VG came later) This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Oh yes, Mark Snow! He also did the music for another game -> Urban Assault. He is also credited for the music in the X-Files game, but I wonder if it's new materail or recycled cues?

Steve Jablonsky is already on the list. I wasn't even aware that there were any 24 games; Callery's going up too. Can't find enough info on Joris de Man; he's only got two IMDB credits.

Hello there, i am quite new again (lost my old account in the crash)...

Akihiko Matsumoto He composed the music of films like - Extreme Crisis (1998 - english title) - Bayside Shakedown (1998 - english title) - Space Travelers (2000 - english title) - My Lover Is a Sniper: The Movie (2004) - Missing Pages (2006) he did the music of Resident Evil Outbreak & Resident Evil Outbreak: File 2 Most amazing jew boots |

Another one for you, orion. I recently ripped Bo Jackson's Hit and Run! Baseball and Football (GB) and found that Ed Bogas composed the music for it. Apparently, he's a pretty well-known TV and film composer who's worked on a lot of animated stuff (such as Peanuts and Garfield specials). That's according to his Wikipedia entry and his website.
Here's the Mobygames listing of other titles he's worked on, for the curious. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

I'vre added him to the list. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Kevin Manthei:
Ultimate Spiderman City of Villains Shrek Superslam Dead Rush Shark Tale Shrek 2 Pitfall: The Lost Expedition Kill.Switch Nancy Drew Series Dead to Rights New Legends Twisted Metal: Black Sacrifice Wizardry 8 Vampire - The Masquerade: Redemption Majesty EA Outdoor Sports Series Army Men: Sarge’s Heroes Mask of Eternity Jagged Alliance 2 Panzer General Series Civilization II: Fantastic Worlds Indian in the Cupboard Kevin's official homepage: http://kmmproductions.com/home.html There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Does Lennie Moore count?
http://www.lenniemoore.com/resume.html This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Manthei and Moore are both very tempting, but their resumés indicate that both started in VGM before branching out later into other arenas, and that the largest amount of their work is still for VGM.
I've begun adding links to the main list, to help people track down and listen to these OSTs and gamerips. If anyone has any stable URL's they can contribute, that would be super. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

As there are a bunch of Dr. Brain games, you should specify that the one Giorgio Bertuccelli and Michael Skloff worked on is Dr. Brain: Action Reaction.

Dayum, I would have thought Manthei was at least borderline acceptable. It seems he started out doing additional music for television shows and a videogame within the same year.
But here's one which I think should be okay: John Carpenter: Sentinel Returns I think it's the only videogame John worked on, and that came out in 1998 for the PC. Perhaps Rimo (who did a rip of this game) could shed more light on the music. It's all original material, as far as I'm concerned. Most amazing jew boots |
