Virtual Console Wonder Boy in Monster Land (Master System) - 500 points WiiWare Niki - Rock 'n' Ball - 500 points I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
FUCKEN SWEET. MONSTER LAND YAY.
Now they need to release MOAR goodness. How ya doing, buddy? It was lunchtime at Wagstaff.
Touching butts had been banned by the evil Headmaster Frond. Suddenly, Tina Belcher appeared in the doorway. She knew what she had to do. She touched Jimmy Jr's butt and changed the world. |
Monster Land even supports the enhanced FM music (press the - button on the Wii Remote) ![]() What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

A bit late but,
Releases for 2/2/09: Virtual Console Sonic Chaos (Master System) - 500 points WiiWare Snowboard Riot - 1000 points LONPOS - 800 points FELIPE NO |
I'm curious to read some impressions of Snowboard Riot. It uses the balance board, and from the previews I've read, it has weapon powerups a la Mario Kart, plus wifi support.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Releases for 2/9/09:
Virtual Console Wolf of the Battlefield: MERCS (Genesis) - 800 points WiiWare LIT - 800 points Did anyone try or hear anything more about Snowboard Riot? Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Releases for 2/16/09:
Virtual Console Life Force (NES) - 500 points WiiWare Evasive Space - 1000 points There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Releases for 2/23/09:
Commodore 64 has been added to the systems available on the Virtual Console. Virtual Console The Last Ninja (C64) - 500 points INTERNATIONAL KARATE (C64) - 500 points Pitstop II (C64) - 500 points WiiWare Onslaught - 1000 points This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Does anyone know if Onslaught is supposed to be any good? Gamespot had a few screenshots showing it to be an FPS, but all the places I go to for reviews seem to have more or less abandoned their Wiiware/VC review sections.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Reviews on CAG seem to be somewhat positive, but it takes 308 blocks of memory. Screw you, Nintendo.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
Yeah, if we could just get some decent memory storage then I'd download several WiiWare games. I don't want to delete my VC stuff just so I can play the next Strongbad title, and it would be nice to actually use the Nintendo channel for once.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
It's easily solved if you just use a memory card and copy/move files.
Purchased Onslaught today and so far I've only played through a couple of levels but one thing I'm sure of and that's the graphics being splendid for a WiiWare game, great lightning. And the controls are fine, up-down-left/right dash by double tilting the analogue stick can suck at times. But other than that it works as a charm. I'd say it's worth a measly 10€. I bought Alone in the Dark Wii for $10 CDN and boy was that an awful purchase, but later I got Lit on WiiWare for 800 points and suddenly I was amazed at how something on WiiWare can so easily surpass something published on disc.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Fuck yes Ogre Battle, even though it's US only so that's kinda
![]() Maybe they'll eventually do Ogre Battle 64~ There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
Releases for 3/9/09:
Virtual Console Alex Kidd: The Lost Starts (Master System) - 500 points WiiWare Gradius Rebirth - 1000 points How ya doing, buddy? |
Gradius Rebirth sounds like it has possibilities, but I can't seem to find any sort of coverage except for a single image.

Releases for 3/23/09:
Virtual Console Bomberman '94 (TG16) - 700 points DETANA TWIN BEE (TG16) - 700 points WiiWare Pop'Em Drop'Em SAMEGAME - 500 points And here were the releases for 3/16/09:: Virtual Console Summer Games II (C64) - 500 points WiiWare BIT.TRIP BEAT - 600 points Now I played Bomberman '94 when it was ported to the Genesis as Mega Bomberman. That's when I first played a game from the Bomberman series and it was a difficult game for me, but a good one nevertheless. Man, they sure took their sweet ass time bringing this to the Virtual Console in the US because I think this was released in Europe as a debut game for the VC. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Good news for Square-Enix fans...
I was hoping they would release the SNES Final Fantasy games on the virtual console... Now I'm just crossing my fingers that LucasArts gets in on the action. FELIPE NO |
I was looking over screenshots for FF IV: The After Years today, and I have to take back what I said on GFF Talk Radio. I'm still nervous about how it'll turn out, but it looks snazzy enough that I'll still buy it almost immediately. Damn you Squeenix, playing off my nostalgia to make me a consumer whore!
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Releases for 3/30/09:
Virtual Console Super Punch-Out!! (SNES) - 800 points WiiWare Bonsai Barber - 1000 points Jam it back in, in the dark. |
There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
And of course, nobody in the thread mentioned anything about the chiptunerhythmgoodness that is BIT.TRIP beat

Super Punch Out eh? Time to ring Gabby Jay's bell again.
