Onoz! I was going to nominate Reflection Into Eden but I couldn't find the mp3. That song will win its week

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

3 points: Space Channel 5 Part 2 Uki Uki ~ Non Stop Megamix - This is My Happiness (Tom Jones A-Go Go Mix)
2 points: Kotoba no Puzzle Mojipittan Daijiten Original Soundtrack - Bedtime Puzzler
1 point: Snow in Saigon - Larmes de la lune
Almost: Phantasy Star Collection - Sound Collection II - LANDEEL

That Space Channel 5 track...just strangely excellent. The Tom Jones influence helped. With the sound quality was way better (not talking about the encoding).

In other news, your mom is a Bedtime Puzzler.

This week didn't appeal to me at all. Three vocals and two film music. Landeel is probably my favourite arrangement from the PSC albums and it was the clear winner. Nothing new worth keeping on my hard drive this week.

3 points - LANDEEL
2 points - Larmes de la lune
1 point - Battle of Lovers (SPC Rip) - Goal 2

Album: MIDI Power Pro 7 ~ Gradius
Artist: Konami Kukeiha Club
Track Title: Oceanus (3rd Stage)
Track number: 09
Disc number: 1/1
Catalog number: KMCA-5
Year: 1999
Source: http://www.gmronline.com/info.asp?CatNumber=KMCA-5

Will upload shortly.

I really liked Bedtime Puzzler, particularly the rhythmic singing in its hook and then at around 4:00. Larmes de la lune was a great piece; the music box and piano sections are my favorites. This is My Happiness is a very fun song, though I enjoyed it more for its musical style than the questionable singing. Actually, the more I listen to it, the more endearing the singing gets.

I wish I could award Larmes de la lune and This is My Happiness 1 1/2 points each. I like them about the same, but I don't want to drop both of them down to 1 point, because they're on another level than whatever other song I would make the last 1-pointer.

Landeel was solid, but bland, as orion said. Primordial Forest was actually pretty cool; I like the pizzicato strings. The percussion in the background was also a nice touch. Goal 2 was a nice little tune as well. All three songs got consideration for points.

Skilled Spear did nothing for me. Guruguru Tonight was OK but not good enough for point contention.

Bedtime Puzzler - 3
This is My Happiness - 2
Larmes de la lune - 1

Latest music rips (updated January 10, 2012):

SimCity DS - Jazz/ambient/electronic music including interesting reworkings of songs from the fantastic SimCity 3000 soundtrack
Cold Winter Original Game Music Score - Really cool; dark, full, emotional strings mixed with drums, piano, choir. Kind of like Furious Angels?

Play-Asia - Japanese CDs, game soundtracks, game imports, & more

Congratulations to you as well, TheKnightOfNee. That was a really excellent nomination on your part, and one of the most enjoyable this week had to offer.

Eh, I eked out a Bronze. Not bad for a silly vocal track, given the usual resistance to their ilk. Bronze is about where I was aiming when I nominated it, so MISSION COMPLETE.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Haha, I didn't realize voting was closed so I went ahead and picked out my songs. And what do you know, the top 3 turned out to be exactly what I picked, in exactly the same order.

I should get a prize or something.

Wow, the three songs I voted for turned out to be the top 3 (though not in the same order). That's rare.

Congratulations on your first gold nomination, TheKnightOfNee.
