Legos
Some of the things you can make with legos border on archtectural wonder, but mostly though, its just cool. I used to play with legos when I was younger, and every once in a great while I'll mess around with them again.
If I had a large place to work with, and money to burn, I wouldn't mind building stuff again with them. The best thing I did that wasn't a pre-made set (That you'd buy in the store) was a model of Junon, complete with moving Sister Ray Canon. How about you? Jam it back in, in the dark.

I haven't made anything original in Lego, sadly. However, I was immensely tempted when Lego made that little program where you could built and design your own models and then buy the bricks for it. I could have made some great Star Wars things... Perhaps I should look into it someday.
There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
The most I could get out of Lego was taking the heads off the people and flicking them around this awesome Lego Town mat thingy. It was a bit freaky though, they have such gigantic smiles. Whenever I attempted to make something, it'd just become a big multi-coloured cube of death. I eventually sold it all in a garage sale. And now it's so expensive, I see these cool looking pirate themed sets, and they're like $50 each. =|
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Lego is totally awesome. If you like building and being creative, be sure to check out www.brickshelf.com

You guys want to see two of the most amazing LEGO structures in the history of LEGOkind?!
FUCKING LEGO CHURCH ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() FUCKING LEGO STADIUM!! ![]() ![]() ![]() I was speaking idiomatically. |
The stadium is awesome. I watched a documentary on how it was built and transported to LEGOLAND Germany only recently.
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Back in the days I built a whole fucking lego city! Too bad I didn't take any pictures
![]() Oh and some years ago I went to Legoland in Denmark and it was pretty awesome. I'll go to Legoland Germany soon, too ^.^ FELIPE NO |
I have the huge pirate ship! I built it when I was 8, then it fell off the table, and took me another 30 hours to build it. Horrible memory.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
My most impressive original creation was a rather spiffy castle with a drawbridge that worked on one of those string cranks. I have a massive LEGO collection, but I tend to just stick with building armies of strange robots rather than making any large scale projects. I haven't done much with them in awhile, but after buying some cheap Megaman X figures the other day I did create a LEGO Armored Carrier for Vile that doesn't look half bad.

Those are some impressive things that you could do with Legos. Too bad I never was that creative and I always followed the manual.

personally i find the brick sets in the official program a little limiting. for those of us who cant afford to buy gobs of real bricks and dont mind making completely virtual models http://ldraw.org/ is a great resource. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

For me, this takes the cake:

Too bad I don't have any photos of the big Star Wars ship I built. It took me three hours to build it.
How ya doing, buddy? |
I still have most of my legos. I haven't really build anything note worthy but that is because I had such a limiting collection.
Edit: Wow I see what you mean by the first one. I think I shall use the second one to build models then order bricks that I need. How ya doing, buddy?

My brother's the one who actually builds stuff with Legos, although he hasn't done so in quite some time. I could build things... I'm just lazy. I would to point out, though, that I am quite impresses with the kinds of things the Technic pieces allow. Knees!

Holy fuck; I don't know what's more insane: that church or the soccer stadium.
But, to the topic now, I never owned Legos as a child. This is probably because I didn't much like building things; due, in turn, to my dislike for having to destroy what I made after making it. (With younger siblings, things don't last long. At least, they didn't for me.) I do distinctly remember that my dentist--in New York--had legos for children in his office. Out of boredom waiting for my examinations to begin, I would always create something with them. The best I ever did (in 45 minutes' time) was a castle keep type thing. It made me wish that I had Legos when I was younger, though >_< What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
whoa! Lego Stargate for teh WIN =O

I rather like those pictures of the lego stadium and church. I've never built anything with legos before, so those are impressive.

Christ, that stadium is amazing. I love Legos.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
|
LOL! You have to have a lot of legos to make some of those things!
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Holy crap, those are amazing. I need to get rich and buy exorbitant amounts of Legos for the sole purpose of constructing something just as ridiculously awesome, like a life-size Jack Bauer or Jesus Christ.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
I wish I was more into Legos... Yes, they're uberly pimp and awesome, but I don't have the time to sit down and connect little blocks together to make something amazing. Either that, I just don't have the creativity for it.
Anyway, the pictures are amazing. I really like that church one. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
Quite fun harpsichord :
![]() ![]() Yes, it's a legos' harpsichord and it is playable :fish: How ya doing, buddy? |
Well now, to post things that I actually DID make which are pretty much stock stuff of the old SPACE POLICE II series back in about 1993.
![]() ![]() ![]() I still have them sitting on a bookshelf. I did dismantle them and left them like that for the longest time, but I was bored and rebuilt them all one day in about 3-4 hours. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? ![]() - What we all do best - |
I'd like a custom-made Dick Cheney lego statue.
