Virtual Apple II
Remember playing old school Oregon Trail on your Apple II computer when you were little? How about the lovable monster from Number Crunchers, or the nail-biting action of Choplifter? Now with Virtual Apple, you can play all those games again. I found this site this morning, and it's very nostalgic to try out some of these games after so many years. The controls are a bit wonky on some of them, but the text adventures especially are a riot.
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I played that some time ago. I relived my number munchers childhood, only to find out a startling discovery...the multiples only go up to 20, and then go back down to 2! Drat, I was hoping for multiples of 58!
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Whenever I press the spacebar my page will scroll down to the bottom. When I use backspace, it will go back one page, forcing me to restart. How do I change the settings so I can play these games without so much difficulty?
How ya doing, buddy?

I made it safely to Oregon. I had one player and the wagon left remaining. The river game is nigh unplayable since the arrow keys result in the screen jumping up and down; meanwhile your wagon is smashing into every rock along the way and losing everything you have.
Had I made it through safely, I'd have made the Top Ten for sure. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() |
I was speaking idiomatically. |
