IGN offers download of Emminence Radical Dreamers arrangement
IGN made a big front-page update about this: the chance to download a single MP3 from one of Emminence's shows, this one an arrangement of Radical Dreamers. Instead of a singer, they have a violin playing to the tune of her voice in the original, and it's quite a wonderful piece.
It's nice to see a big-name site like IGN supporting something like Emminence. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
What's Emminence?
How ya doing, buddy? ![]() |
Only if you are a subscriber can you download the song, and so you can read more of whatever they do at IGN. I'm not a big fan of those guys.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
It turns out that today is opposite day, so all of what you have said is true, so you should probably just go.

Could someone who's a subscriber please upload the song? I'd like to hear it.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

wvlf demands answers. I was speaking idiomatically. It was lunchtime at Wagstaff.

Wow...Eminence sounds interesting. Maybe I'll go to their Melbourne concert!
And yeah, could someone upload the song? FELIPE NO |
They recently had "Passion" concert in Singapore and I was there.

Yeah, I'm going to go ahead and third the request for an upload of the song. As much as I love the original, the vocals sometimes become a little unbearable. I'd be interested to hear if this is remedied at all with the violin, because it certainly sounds like an interesting adjustment.
Just in case anyone missed it, there was a thread that popped up a couple of months ago which discussed the concert at which this song was played: Passion from Eminence. In it, a few people posted up their impressions of the performance of Radical Dreamers. Probably worth a look for those interested in the song. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I've uploaded it here: http://d.turboupload.com/de/1529345/fbj2p82p3s.html I have no idea how reputable that host is, so if one of you has a better method, that would be great. I definitely enjoyed this arrangement quite a bit. Very similar in tone to the original, but different enough to be worth hearing, and I'd absolutely love to hear this live. The violin managed to nail the tune of the vocals perfectly, too. Still has some of the string squeaking and stuff, so if you didn't like that in the original, you won't like it here either. There's nowhere I can't reach. |

Thanks for the upload, lord-of-shadow. (Personally, I find that SendSpace is a great free host - it's also the one used most at Gamingforce, from what I can tell. The process of uploading and downloading are both very straightforward, especially in comparison to other hosts I've seen.)
In any case, the track itself is lovely. I'd also like to hear it live - guess this means I'll have to try getting to one of the Eminence concerts sometime! The violin adds to the song in a perfect way; it provides for a fresh contrast to the original song while keeping itself from deviating too much. The violin actually serves as a perfect substitue for Mitose's voice, too. In fact, I think I prefer this version to the original - even though Mitose does a great job with the original track, I personally find this violin arrangement to be more listenable. Guess who played the violins? Hiro, who on this forum uses the name Seraph! He played both parts and they were mixed together in Procyon Studios in Japan.
The arrangement is defintly lovely along with the performace, violins are the closest musical instrument that resemble the human voice, and Hiro plays it with the right melacholic and sad emotion that the song represents. The last harmonic part is just as heavenly as Mitose's angelic singing. I bought tickets to Night in Fantasia 2007, games edition, I cannot wait! Must get the CDs when I'm there! (Bye bye shipping fees!) Did you guys like it?
We re-recorded the violin part only at Procyon Studios cuz it wasn't really good enough~ Since this is an original arrangement, I have no idea some people saying it was bad taste... I thought the arrangement was quite good lol~ Most amazing jew boots |
Yeah it's nice. The emotion of the song comes through just fine.
A neat little bonus arrange, Thanks. I was speaking idiomatically. |
I loved the arrangement and felt it better than i ts original, probably as I didn't like the vocalist in the original. This just strikes the right note, and is a more than worthy arrangement.

Sorry, Yura, not trying to continue a feud, but I really didn't like the arrangement. The violin, though pleasantly performed, didn't fit the theme like the vocals did, in my opinion. The guitar accompaniment got very stale, even if the performance was impeccable. Though I don't mind the fact it was straightforward, some variety would have helped, as it got repetitive quickly. To me, the piece was a guitar and violin reduction with nice performances rather than a proper arrangement.

Thanks for the upload. Very nice instrumental version of the original (which I like a great deal). There was one spot towards the end of the second chorus that I thought could have been even nicer if it had been just a touch slower. But that's just my own personal preference. :P The last third end of the song or so was particularly beautiful with the violin soaring over the guitar.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?
I think therefore I am... I think.

Arrangmemt wise it wasn't that far off from the original, that I'll agree with, but it was a very lovely rendition of Radical Dreamers. Now that I relisten to the vocals, it seems that the singer wasn't as harmonised as Hiro played at the end. The original had the advantage of having lyrics, but Hiro played the song with much more emotion than the singer, you can FEEL the melancoly and the nostalgia in his playing. Mitose has a lovely voice, but comparing to Hiro's playing, she lacks the emotion. I mean, its like a choir boy, they sing BEAUTIFULLY, but the only emotion they sing is a sacred, holy like tone. I doubt they were intending for a major remix, it was simply a rendition of Radical Dreamers with acoustic intruments, intended for a live performance. We all have opinions of course, but I felt your point on the repetitiveness is kinda silly, when the original was just the same. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() { :: ~ Air - the 1000th Summer ~ :: } :: That sea went on forever, into the blue distance :: * That road went on forever, continuing straight ahead * ~ : Summer comes again, shining silver : ~ : When I close my eyes, suddenly I can see that day's blue sky :
