Wicked cool. I got FFT playing on my PSP and it's too good to be true. I am so pumped to play so many A++ titles from my childhood again, it's going to be great.

I <3 my PSP.

However, how does one change the game icon on the PSP itself so it's not the goofy hot shots 2 icon?

Can anyone show me how to change that?

Mucho thanks.

Read the thread and use the GUI I attached in this post.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Or before you you convert the ISO to EBOOT, place the images needed in the same directory as popstation. It'll automatically use those images - funny how a lot of people missed that.

Anyways, 2.80 is now downgradable. Although you have to email Dark_Alex to get it.

I wish there was a way to use nethostfs or usbhostfs through OE-B. Maybe even a plugin so the memory stick comes up as my hard drive. Using IRshell is a pain because it doesn't work very well for me on OE-B. I don't want to give OE-B up for IRshell either..

How ya doing, buddy?

I can't wait till they come out with better compression for psx games, I want to play ffvii but it's just too big for my 1gig of memory.

Aside from this psp has pretty much exploded, even in the legit scene with Crisis Core, MPO, and FFT rerelease. Pretty sweet.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I am using the popstation converter, and when I go to look for the actual executable "popstation.exe" I can't find it. Is there some way to re download it or something because I can't find it for the life of me.

Additional Spam:
Edit: Nevermind, found it. However, when I try and use it, I get an error message saying that my file is not a valid EBOOT, yet I ripped a game with CloneCD and converted it to PBP with psx2psp.

So confused. ><

There's nowhere I can't reach.

It means you need EBOOT.PBP from Hot Shots Golf 2 and have to rename it to BASE.PBP and put it in the popstation folder. Then you use Popstation or an alternative pogram to convert the ISO to a PBP.

You can download Hot Shots Golf 2 from most torrent sites it is roughly 160mb in size.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I'm plannig on buying one but, what is this "TA-082 mainboard" that i've read in the forum?

I can get a 1.5 firmware one, but i guess it doesn't come with this TA-082 mainboard. What does it do?

The 082 mother board was the one that had problems, so don't worry about it. The others can perfectly downgrade but since you're able to get 1.5, it doesn't really matter. Good find, btw. Who the hell is giving up a 1.5? =/

Only the most dumbest muff hugga in the world. I thought I was screwed when it came to my 2.80fw, but literally 2 days before I got it in the mail, 0okm arrived with a beautiful present in his hands.

Dizzy: I honestly wouldn't trust eBay auctions, they can tell you thing as far as the fw in order to sell it high...that and it's coming from HK, the land o' fakes and counterfeits.

I was wondering what kind of software you guys use to convert your videos for the PSP.

Until recently, I used PSP Video 9, but this thing hasn't been updated in ages and still misses some options like x264 encoder support, 2-pass for AVC and so on.

I already tried meGUI as an alternative, but it's too cumbersome for everyday use.

Any other suggestions?

Well Dark_Alex's 3.03 OE-A is out now. Now we can use compressed psx games with the Psx emulator. Which is nice.. now I can fit more than one disc on my memory card.

Hell yeah!

Now we just need to have the major popstation GUIs update with compression options.

Jesus, I'm saving from 100-300MB on some of these games. Though on one of them I only saved about 50MB.. I guess games with alot of compressed content inside them already do not downsize well?

I heard Vagrant Story goes from 733 down to freaking 118 mb!

That's gonna be a mainstay on my memory stick, for sure!

Hey - quick question for Rock.

How did you make those screen captures of your psx emulator in action that you showed on the top of page 25? What plugin did you use?

The RAR file I downloaded was 118 MB for Vagrant Story, it's possible.

If I only knew how to convert EBOOT back to ISO ._.

I just converted back my 500mb+ FFT eboot back to ISO, then compressed it to 252mb using this new method! Kickass, and as long as you name the SCUS12345etc... number the same as before, the save game works!

I converted the eboot back to ISO using a program called PSX2PSP
I don't recall where I downloaded it from, though.

There's nowhere I can't reach.
