5 cm per second? is that even subbed yet? or perhaps it's from one of the trailers? i'm hoping it'll be as good as Hoshi no Koe and Beyond the Clouds, the Promised Place.

5 centimeters per second is Makoto Shinkai's latest work, scheduled to be released early 2007. It'll be a collection of 3 short stories, though I can't say for sure whether or not they are all actually connected. One thing you can count on for sure though is Shinkai's trademark jawdropping detailed art.

Two trailers have been released so far. First trailer is about 45 seconds, second is roughly twice that and features (I assume) the film's main vocal theme. Check AnimeSuki.

Beware of Triad's subs, though. Unless your computer is good, the trailers (the second in particular) will pulverize your PC. PTP is a safe bet for those of you with more mortal hardware.

Gah, I just watched the trailers, so damn sweet. I always get goosebumps from these trailers, and I can't stop watching them. Now I won't be able to wait until release =(.

Anyways, back on topic.

EDIT: Haha, ya, this trailer did lag quite the bit, so I had to move it onto my laptop to watch.

Im guna say thats gata be Fist of the North Star, but if it is, some one needs to read the rules, cause if its not the 90's or later, it has to have a year associated with it.
Looks like the scene i have seen in an AMV where the throws and arrow in this guys eye.

Ah... I knew I recognized the first two guys from somewhere. The guy in the second pic clicked it for me. It's from Please Save My Earth. He's one of the main characters, Shion iirc. (The two from the first pic were part of the characters that went to the meetings.)
