By saying that is obvious that you don't understand what's a load time and the difference beteewn it and loading screen. And in case you were only refering to the last, yes many Gamecube also have loading screens even first party titles. Now let's just see your hopefully moderate awnser to this  What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I'll answer for him by not allowing you to post with a  for a day. Laters!
FELIPE NO |
And it's in no way ''jumping the gun'', feel worse for the past peoples in line that have slim chances of getting it .What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Not sure if it's been mentioned already...
I know it's been said the component cable would be available online and such, but it hasn't yet... but now it is! Nintendo's online store, direct link: http://store.nintendo.com/componentvideocable Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Haha thanks a bunch, naz! Just ordered mine. Mine should be at my house by the end of the week.
Looks like Nintendo getting hit with hundreds of phonecalls last night about ordering component cables paid off and they decided that since there's such a major interest to put them on their website early instead of having their phonelines spammed. Smart move, Nintendo. Smart move. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Componet cables will be in stores December 5th.
Don't know who would want to wait over two weeks for them.... This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
So the componet cables are just for people who have HD TV's? You know something funny though? I noticed a lot of the reviews I've read for the Wii games thus far have all recieved bad scores on the graphics end of the score. Perhaps if they had the componet cables then it would have recieved a higher score. I'm assuming they play them on HD/Widescreen TV's. It seems a bit unfair of them to give such low scores, considered most people don't own HD TV's yet, considering the price. :/
How ya doing, buddy? |
No, they're for people with SDTVs too. They don't IMPROVE graphics, they make the image sharper. There's a huge difference. And lots of people own HDTVs now. It's not that much of a minority thing anymore.
And lastly, some of them are getting bad scores graphically because some games have piss poor graphics, regardless of the machine's capabilities. Most amazing jew boots |
I just went into Gamestop today to trade in some games and
1 Nintendo Wii Console $249.99....Check! Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess $49.99....Check! Trauma Center: Second Opinion $49.99....Check! Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz $49.99....Check! And then I bought the Component Cables with the fastest shipping from Nintendo's Store (thanks Acer) Wii Component Cables $46.06 (with delivery and tax)....Check! I am good to go this Saturday night. Only thing I'm not sure about is if I'll get my Component Cables in time. $420+ credit card bill confirmed. Ouch! What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I barely have enough for the Wii itself, though I'll be trading in a couple of things to see if I can't come up with 50 for a game. I'm thinking maybe Call of Duty 3 just to be different, but I've been hearing a lot more people say that the control scheme for Zelda isn't that bad. Or maybe I'll just buy an extra controller or something.

You will rob an old lady of her purse and buy Zelda if you have to. Do it NOW!
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
I was (and still technically am) planning on buying it, but for the Gamecube. I've been very leery of it due to my greater trust in button schemes than my own, shaky hands.
Jam it back in, in the dark.

Anyway, Wii component cables. Neat. Now if only they would get off their asses and start making Gamecube component cables, I wouldn't still be looking for ones to purchase. (Or rather, I still wouldn't be looking at ones on different sites selling them for $60US+ a piece.) There's nowhere I can't reach. |
You don't have to spend a lot to get an HDTV display, they do make CRT HDTVs, which cost far less than an LCD or Plasma display. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Having a HDTV for a Wii is pointless. Nintendo said they're focusing on games, not HDTV bullshit. It isn't essential for the next generation and that's exactly why nobody needs one. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
Wow, the component cables are already sold out online (Due to high demand, our initial allotment of the Wii Component Video Cables has been depleted. We expect to begin shipping again the week of November 28, 2006.)! Maybe Nintendo will realize that the demand is higher than they anticipated, and will include them in a future console release.
I was speaking idiomatically. Mario Kart DS: 498293-921939____ Star Fox Command: 155-576-696-451____ Metroid Prime Hunters: 4854-1233-4943____ Final Fantasy III: 506891214495____ Xfire: freuser____ Steam: Free.User____ |
I ordered my cables earlier today, it looks like I made it in time, but you never know...
This makes me worried about getting one at launch though...the demand is higher than initially anticipated. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
No, the demand for component cables was higher than (Nintendo) anticipated. Anybody else sees that that shit is in DEMAND (Microsoft got big points for having a dual cable with the 360), so I don't know what their problem is.
Because Nintendo decided to screw us, I've decided to not buy a Wii until I can buy component cables alongside it in stores. I'm not sure if that'll be next month or not, but I'm not going to pay for it on launch day if I'm not going to be able to play it, since anything on composite is damn near unplayable on an HDTV. Bravo, Nintendo, Bravo. FELIPE NO |
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Of course the Wii version is better, that doesn't necessarily mean the Gamecube version isn't worth purchasing though. Gamecube owners have been waiting for years for this game to be released, I think they deserve it. Most amazing jew boots |
Man, all this talk about component cables is making me @_@.
I'm glad (or not really) that my TVs only have a yellow and white composite input. Also, paying off my games and shit I have reserved doesent seem like a bad thing to do either. There's nowhere I can't reach.

Yeah, i'm not worried about cables. Right now trying to find out what second game I should get. Not like I don't have plenty of time to figure out while camping in wal-mart.heh. (trying to find a new LONG DS game to keep me busy aswell.)Any word on that final surprise for the Wii? I was thinking a few free VC games or something like that.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I haven't heard anything about a final surprise. Where did you hear something about that?

It's probably a few Wiipoints to get people hooked (like crack), I dont doubt it. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
