Backing up licenses with WMP11?

I was just wonderin if you can backup and copy licenses from WMP11 cos my friend gave me a crapload of files (doubt anyone needs more than 1 guess to guess what it is =P ) which are...sadly license protected >.<...now he has the license on his comp...any idea how I can yank that out and copy? .__.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I'm sure there is some special type of workaround that can be found, but if anything it will be very technical and difficult. And I don't believe that trying anything of that sort will be at all legal either. (not like ripping and sharing is "legal" either, but why go for a double whammie?)

Welcome to the world of DRM(Digital Rights Management). I would say to tell your friend that he is a retard for using WMP11 for ripping ANYTHING. I would also say to advise your friend to use any media ripper program besides those designed by any major software company.

fair enough...thx for the heads up...personally I just want the files on my comp :< ...guess not...but how bout just general back up...would something like ghost copy everything including said licenses? =x
