Whedon shows are never about premise. Case in point:
1. Teenage "vampire slayer" 2. Vampire with a soul seeking redemption 3. Space outlaws There's so much that could go wrong with any of those ideas. They're either cliched or too ridiculous to work in theory. But it's the way Whedon carefully crafts his characters tells real stories through genre that makes them so good. Also, he came up with the idea over lunch and a toilet break. Gotta give him credit for that. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
