Yet another Korean MMORPG! Except this time it features... drilling? If you know what the game is about, then great! If you don't, then you better take a look at some resources first. Just to strike down any potential questions, however, the game is (currently) free to play, as it is in Beta. When it moves out of Beta it will likely remain free to play, operating on the cash shop method (game is free, but certain special items and accessories must be purchased with real money).

This thread will function as a listing of all English Trickster Online players. Use it to organize parties, talk about strategy, post interesting screenshots, or whatever. When leaving your character information, please provide:

Character name
Class (Bunny/Buffalo, Sheep/Dragon, Fox/Lion, Cat/Raccoon)
Base level

A number of people have been having login issues with the game, which sucks. Luckily, thanks to some enterprising individuals out there, there is now a way to bypass having to login via the website (and on Internet Explorer)!

First login to www.tricksteronline.com , then save this file http://www.tricksteronline.com/game/run.aspx . This file should be around 908 bytes. If it's 60 bytes make sure you're logged in with the same browser you're saving the file. It's necessary to do this once to figure out your own id and password number.
Open the saved file in a text editor like notepad and search for
<input type="hidden" id="uid" name="uid" value="number1" />
<input type="hidden" id="key" name="key" value="number2" />
Number1 and 2 will be your own id and password numbers tied to your account.

Now go to your trickster installfolder and make a shortcut to splash.exe. Now rightclick on the splash shortcut choose properties and go to the shortcut tab. In the line 'Target' you'll see the path to your splash.exe for example "C:\Trickster\splash.exe". After the quotes you add 1 space, then your number1 (login id), a comma and number2 (pass).
It should now look like "C:\Trickster\splash.exe" 646846,798464864656

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Afraid I don't know the exact stat, but gun damage is based off of some Power stat (AC I think). Most Lions tend to have something like 3 power (or 4 if you're craaaaaaaaazy).

Your base level is your level (hint: it says it at the top of the screen in the bar that reflects what % exp you're at).

Guess you got lucky. Most parties insist on no share... but I suppose in the earlier levels, any kind of royal party is good news.

Some people seemed to be confused by my choice of terminology, so I took the liberty of updating the topic post -- with pictures!

Base Level = Level

I list levels in the format XX because listing specific levels (like 53, or 28, or whatever) is tedious as people are leveling all the time. Takes longer to level out of a 10-level range than just 1 level, after all.

I didn't really think anyone had any confusion in regards to character name, but I was already on a roll with the rectangles.

In other news, got my first boss kill/seal off Tut!

Kind of a fluke, actually. Unlike RO's MVP system, Trickster rewards the boss loot and kill credit to whoever deals the last blow. So, there was this random Tut that I saw on the top of my screen, so I shot a needle at it... guess it ended up being the final blow! I got the item and the boss seal, so that was nice. Bet I pissed off the group tanking it, though

Yeah, that was a concern of mine.

But, well, what can you do about it? If you want to play now, you just have to play while aware of that risk.

I still don't see why they're bothering to call this a closed beta, though. As far as I am aware, anyone can download the client to play (and they even added another channel to accomodate more people), so what's so closed about this?

I think most classes have a pretty good potential for leveling quickly, provided you have adequate resources and a fair idea about what you're doing.

The biggest factor, though, would probably have to be being able to get into those Royal 2.5x no share parties all the time. Easy enough on the densely populated maps, but a bit more of a challenge on more isolated maps. ;(

I haven't really been playing this much in recent days. I'm not sure why, but for some reason it just feels slow. Maybe it's the nature of my class (using SS and ST over and over...) or the fact that you really need parties to get good exp, but it just feels kind of meh.

I'll probably make myself play til I hit TM50, just so I'm prepped for jobchange when it comes out.
