Picked up God of War 2 when it came out. It's been pretty decent from what I played. I've been enjoying it myself alot. It's challenging which is something I really like, but thankfully it's not aneurism-enducing puzzles and places like the first game. (fucking Hades pissed me off).

Bought Madden 2007 last night for about $20. I haven't played much of it, but the controls are a bit tricky to get used to.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I dunno why I have to name the cat since it never does anything >_>
For when it forgets to use the litter and instead goes on the floor constantly, you know what to call it besides "Goddamn you cat!" ¬¬

As for me, picked up Crisis Core the other day. Certainly an odd little title so far. Unless I can find something interesting to pick up, think that's it for me for splurging. lol

Oh also forgot to mention I got a copy of Inindo FINALLY. Always loved that SNES game

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Aside from getting Madden on release night, I just purchased Breath of Fire 3 for PSP sealed on ebay for $29.99

Hopefully that will give me a good fix on an RPG to play when I don't feel like getting out of the bed and too lazy to deal with the PS3 ---> PSP remote play lag crap.

Recent ones for me include:

Star Ocean: First Depature
Star Ocean: Second Evolution

Picked up Bioshock for about $30 from Circuit City since they're closing up shop.

Teetering about whether to pick up Street Fighter IV or Killzone 2.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Circuit City 30% off all games:

Sega Genesis Collection PSP (like $15 after the discount)
Monster Madness: Grave Danger PS3
Lost Planet (not Oddesy, whups!) 360
Two Worlds 360 (I heard this game was ass after the fact)

Wal-mart had some games sitting out for $10 last night too:
NFL Head Coach 09 PS3
Puzzle de Harvest Moon DS
Patapon PSP

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

I've been collecting some "cheap" games lately. Wal-mart (and now I've noticed Target sorta doing the same thing) has a $10 section for games they either can't move or just outright need to get rid of. You may be able to find something cool or a title which you always wanted to play but it was either not worth the release price or high up on your priority.

Over the past couple of weeks I've gotten some stuff like:

Orcs and Elves (DS)
Prey (360)
Kameo (360)
Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales (DS)
Killzone (PSP version)
Soul Calibur IV (360. $15 at Target on Clearance)

other titles:

Resident Evil 5 (PS3)
Killzone 2
Legendary (albeit was $30)
Golden Axe: Beast Rider
Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard
Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia (DS)

Picked up Punch Out and pre-ordered X-Edge.

A friend bought me Sacred 2 for the PC and haven't had a chance to get to that yet (but then again that wouldn't really count as a purchase on my end would it.) was wondering if I should get the PS3 version, especially since I hate that DMR (or DRM or whatever) bullshit about only being able to have it installed on 2 PCs at any given time.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Got Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings and Crimson Gem Saga on PSP.

CGS has been a fun little game and a refresh to play a straight-forward RPG rather than have a game claiming to be RPG-ish and have all sorts of complicated leveling/skill up systems.

Next week picking up Ghostbusters. Can't wait.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Just came back from town and saw Target had Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for $15 on 360. :gank:

Also Lawl-mart had Rock Band 2 for $99. Figured "why not". Nothing better to break in the new house than throw a Rock Band 2 party with my friends.

Picked up Soul Calibur: Cheating AI Broken Destiny for PSP yesterday. Also found another copy of Sacred 2 for PC for $20. Yay for 2 more "unique" PC-installs due to DRM!

How ya doing, buddy?

Picked up Lord of the Rings Online and Guild Wars for $5 each. Also Lego Batman for PSP.

Of course you can't register the game, or get any of the free in-game bonuses because Bioware's site is fucking terrible, but... yay?
My friend got the PS3 version and he had a fucking terrible time getting the shit to install. (I dunno how it is with the PC version) But he had to create an EA account and then access the codes from going online with the game (and not the website) to download the bonuses. I thought he was going to break my keyboard and mouse trying to figure everything out.

At least Brutal Legend's DLC was easy...

Picked up the God of War Collection yesterday. Oddly enough the release date was on Wed instead of Tues, I guess it was cause of AC2 being out on Tuesday. Worked out for me anyway since I got back in town yesterday. Time to start gettin' dem trophies.

Also pre bought Lunar: Silver Star Harmony.

Picked up FF13 last night. Got the regular guide and not CE one, while paying off my God of War 3 and actually pre-ordering THAT CE guide (which was why they tried to push me getting 13's). Also put a little money down on Castlevania: Lords of Shadow for the PS3.

They also tried to get me to pre-order Red Dead Redemption and FF14 (mainly cause I had Cataclysm on presale) but I figured I'd just get RDR for my birthday since it comes out the day before. and a no go on 14. Can't even have time for WoW AND a free D&D Online, don't need another MMO.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Just got back from the God of War 3 launch and picked up God of War 3 and they were cool enough to let me buy Dragon's Age Origins: Awakening tonight too. I probably should get the DLC at some point but heard that wasn't compatible with the expansion.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Picked up Red Dead Redemption today. So far I love this game.

Also recently picked up Sacred 2, 3D Dot Game Heroes and Bayonetta for the PS3. Next week hoping to score Hexyz Force then I'm done with games until Peacewalkers and whenever Castlevania: Lords of Shadow comes out.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Finished paying on Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. Picked up Lego Harry Potter for PSP (wish I had waited and got the PS3 version) and some hack n' slash dungeon crawler called Warriors of the Lost Empire on PSP.

Toying about preordering the new Fist of the North Star game coming out by Koei. It looks really good.

Recent for me:

Upgraded Castlevania: Lords of Shadow to Collector's edition

Bought Fire Pro Wrestling Returns for PS2 and picked up Batman: Arkham Asylum GotY edition.

Recently bought Alien vs Predator for PS3 and Bioshock 2 for PS3 as well. Got both kinda cheap as AvP was $17 free shipping from newegg and Bioshock 2 was $5 on clearance from some furniture store in Nebraska's website.

Finished paying off on Cataclysm and Castlevania as well.

Year old necro~~

Just bought Might and Magic 1-6 through GOG.com. All 6 for $4.99. Not per game, all together! It's worth it just for 2 and 6 (in my eyes anyway). Might and Magic® 6-pack: Limited Edition - GOG.com

Other recent purchases:

Silent Hill Downpour. (The game was pretty good. I got one of the 6 endings. Time to play through again at some point)

Silent Hill HD Collection.

Probably will finish paying off Lollipop Chainsaw soon too and pre-ordered Assassin's Creed 3 and the new Tomb Raider. Sad panda that Ni No Kuni delayed until 2013, but gives me more than enough time to pay that off!

Everyone's been saying that SH HD Collection has got a plethora of problems with it. What are your thoughts on it?

Haven't played much of it, honestly. From what little I did, I noticed that *sometimes* the frame rate will drop and make it feel like the PS2 version. (oh no, so game breaking!) It feels the same to me. I'm not playing it with the new voices, maybe one of the subsequent playthroughs I will.

I like it, and $39.99 isn't too shabby for both of the games. I dunno what other kinds of problems people are saying about it other than framerate or it looks "old and ugly".

I'll try to get some more time with it today. There's a trophy to complete the game in 3 hours and one to complete it only saving twice. Shouldn't be an issue once I remember where everything's at.

A little side note (of humor to me anyway) for the Might and Magic VI download. They have an MP3 version of the soundtrack for download when you purchase the pack. Now unless it's an AMAZING coincidence that these are indeed the correct titles for the tracks, they're using the audio from when I ripped the music on the disc back in 2005 and shared it to someone's FTP here back in the day (I want to say it was TAPPY or someone else's FTP that was insanely popular in 2005). I can tell from the names of the track titles (and no, there was not a track listing that I was aware of way back when), I actually named these as I felt they were called from when they were played in the game. If it isn't the exact same audio encoding (I ripped in 192 VBR, and it looks like this is variable bit rate) then they're using the exact same tracklist. I just found that kind of cool as hell.

What, you don't want my bikini-clad body?

Ahhh, ok I see. Like I said, I'll try to play through some of it when I can. I haven't seen much of anything game breaking as far as gameplay, I figured that's what people were bitching about. My bad.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
