Actually you can still do four person combos, and its actually much easier to do them this time around.
I'm only to the end of the University right now, but it seems to be a pretty good game so far. I really liked the fact that when I massive combo'd the first real boss for like 27 hits, it gave me a freaking weapon as a bonus item.
