Could be something wrong with the power button. Maybe there is a short, or maybe it is being pressed awkwardly.
Could be the system is overheating. Sometimes if it overheats, it just powers off. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Here's an idea, when it suddenly turns off, when you turn it back on, check the BIOS for the temperature of hte computer. Turn the computer off, wait ten or fifteen minutes, then restart and see if there is a significant difference (either way though, record both temps and check em out).

Yeah, sounds like the fan is either not working, there is too much dust, or too much heat. You might also invest in a second fan if this continues tobe a problem.
And um, sounds like your HDD is going to bite it for good. No point in getting it fixed...be better to just grab the files and then buy a new HDD. Faster, cheaper, and safer. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
