I have to say that I am a fan of Sakimoto. I don't think he gets enough respect for being the accomplished, veteran composer he is. He's been in the game almost as long as some legends like Uematsu and Sugiyama. However, while most of his fans chime in about how soundtracks such as Vagrant Story and Final Fantasy Tactics are his greatest works, I have to disagree. My favorite works by him are Radiant Silvergun and Gradius V. I'm dying to hear how he handles a 4-disc Final Fantasy soundtrack (only 13 days away!!). If the FFXII OST turns out to be gold, maybe he'll finally start getting the fanfare and recognition that some of his peers have been getting seemingly forever.

How ya doing, buddy?

QFT!

Soukyu Gurentai is one of Sakimoto's great, hidden gems. I really enjoy that album.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

yep, Dragon God is correct on this one. Hamauzu has nothing at all to do with the Ogre series.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I like Sakimoto's work in FFT and in the Ogre series. He and Masaharu Iwata have always had a great chemistry together, so 9 times out of 10 when they work together, I enjoy the finished product. I think John Pee did most of the music for Treasure Hunter G so none of Sakimoto's contributions are jumping out at me right now. I'll have to get back to you on that.

Stella Deus is another album that had damn good music. It's unfortunate that the soundtrack release didn't show that because the songs were so short.

Most amazing jew boots

No, Sakimoto did not compose the music for Ikaruga. Someone by the name of Hiroshi Iuchi did. However, I believe that Sakimoto worked as a sound programmer or something for it. You can tell he had some sort of hand in it though by the music. It sounds very Sakimoto-esque.

I was speaking idiomatically.
