"Kiss Me Good-Bye" from Angela Aki's new single is out now, release by AznMP3! Here's a YSI for both the single and FFXII version. Pretty good song.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Here's another picture of the Vaan figure by Kotobukiya. They're also making FF13's heroine, posted the pic in the FF13 forum.

More FFXII Play Arts from Kotobukiya at SDCC. Now the list of characters being made is Vaan, Ashe, Judge Gabranth, and Balthier. Vaan and Balthier finished, with Ashe and Gabranth in prototype (well, unpainted anyway).

Some more clearer pictures from ActionFigs.com, Vaan turned out great. The prototype sculpt look fantastic too, especially the detail to the Judge's head/helmet.

The finished Judge and Ashe look great! Definitely another Play Arys I will be picking up. Hopefully they won't release these till next year though, as I'm definitely gonna be short for cash thanks to Medicom's RAH MGS4 Snake. A few images of these sweets figs, plus one miscellaneous one, I think it's for FF tactic figs. ![]() ![]() ![]() What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Agreed, the english dub turned out great! I'm actually forward to playing this one now. Hopefully I won't get slammed with assignments, quizzes, or labs that week. Hey, has there been any word yet on a Limited Edition guide from Brady?

Oh the FFXII Play Arts figures, they finally got a street date! February 28, 2007 is the release for the Japan (as listed by cdjapan anyway), meaning the NA release will probably be about 2-3 months afterwards. Which is great news for me, as I'm strapped for cash. http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview....EY=NEOSL-11501 http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview....EY=NEOSL-11502 http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview....EY=NEOSL-11503 http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview....EY=NEOSL-11504 Most amazing jew boots |

Picked up my pre-order on Wednesday, along with the LE guide (cover came out to be Basch, was hoping for a Fran, Ashe or Penelo though), and finally got around to playing it last night.
![]() Only played about 2 hours or so in the game, and liking it so far. Though the camera controls are really bugging me, they're the inverse of what I usually like to set them to be, options to switch the controls would have been nice (would it really have been that hard to add?). The battle system is interesting, I like how you can run around and try to avoid the enemies' attacks (well, try to reduce amount received), though the camera once again makes it a little frustrating (for me anyway). Not really liking the License system though, seems like a pain in the ass. So pretty much you have to get a license to use a equip or use a specific spell, and then you have to buy it? Purchasing the equip makes sense, but magic? That's just unusual, same thing with having to purchase a license to equip certain weapons/gear. Moving on, the voice acting is outstanding! The different accents really adds to the game's universe/atmosphere. However, the audio quality is kinda bugging me, when the VA's speak it's like you can hear actually hear the static from the recording. Similar to the problem I had with RE4, it's only really noticeable for the ingame cut scenes. The scenes that I really noticed it were the ones with Vaan and Penelo, just before and after Vanye's CG intro (the consul ceremony thing). Did anyone notice this? Does it improve or become less apparent as you progress? And another thing: Spoiler:
BTW, anyone noticed that Vaan wanting to become a Sky Pirate is somewhat similar to the storyline of Tetsuro wanting to become a Space Pirate in Galaxy Express 999? Seems like, to me, that they had a little inspiration from Leiji Matsumoto's work. I'm guessing Balfier would kind of be like Captain Harlock. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
LOL, wow lousy luck for you both. Funny thing is that I didn't want my Basch cover, my eyes were set on Fran, heh, but I'll glady take him over the Vaan that seems so ever common now. The clerk picked out mine from the stack he brought in from the back storage.
Speaking of covers, anyone actually get a Fran? Jam it back in, in the dark. |
