[Question] The Gamingforce Game of the Year 2014: All aboard the hype train - voting edition

Whelp. Most of my top hitters of the last year were older than that. :\

Hyrule Warriors - 40pts

I always made fun of SailorDaravon for playing Dynasty Warriors because... holy shit. Its like japanese soaps or something in video game form. I just fucking lol everytime I see something on there.

However, throw in Zelda in this, you got me interested. I already love the co-op play on this. He'd troll me for picking Link every time but whatever, he's a damn powerhouse.

Downside to this is that he had to play on the wii u controller while I can look at the glorious wide screen tv.

Story mode was laughable but adventure mode is neat and a bit of a tedious grind but still pretty fun.

Fantasy Life - 40pts

We rented this first and I loved it for the simple grind it gave me to do. When I got the second job, it more or less became my easy go to game because of it.

Story line is laughable here too. People bitched about it but whatever, what they shouldn't have played it for, they should had played it for the various lives and the minigames with it.

Mario Kart 8 - 20pts

I've not played this much but I did enjoyed most what I got from it. Great co-op as usual. I enjoyed learning which cart and which character I should use and experimenting.

And that's about it. There's a couple of others but they're honestly not worth mentioning here. Layton vs AA had disappointed me with that ending so.
