DAMN, that video makes me want it now, although I think it could use a tad more enemies to shoot at. The online thing should be crazy fun. I think it's an awesome idea to being the game back to its roots. The very first game on the SNES was the best game in the series, and if DS is anything like that, then I'm in Seventh Heaven. Here's hoping for some remixes of classic SF themes, and none of that SF64 crap.
I still think Fox looks horrid in SF DS though :/ I want those animatronics back! Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Anyway, as long as the game goes back to SF and SF64 style, I wouldn't care whether it's on-rails or all-range. I just want my old Star Fox back :( The DS went from a 'there's not many games that interest me on this system' to 'all the awesome games are coming to this system!' This has never happened to me before. There's nowhere I can't reach.

Character models SWEET FIND. I was afraid that after seeing Fox, the other character models would suck too. However, Falco and Slippy both look very good from the screenshot, especially after the horror that is SF Assault. :D Now I am really hoping to see a younger Peppy this time around, but I really doubt that will ever happen :( I don't care for Krystal so I don't care what the heck she looks like. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The game looks a lot more like the cancelled Star Fox 2, where you had all-range mode in every stage, and it was in real-time, sorta like UN Squadron. At least, I think it was UN Squadron. However, SF DS may not have the Walker mode that SF 2 had.
Bill better make a comeback! That's all I can say. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
In Star Fox 2, a squadron of ships sent by Andross were moving along the map in real time. You had to intercept them before they attacked Corneria. Isn't UN Squadron like that too? It could have been another game, though. It's been too long.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
