Dragonheart
Dragonheart! any other fans out there?
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I can't recall much about the film, but do love the scores from the first and second film...
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
=o.
I love that film! I haven't seen it since I was a kid though, but I remember bawling my eyes out at the cinema. Any film with a dragon is has got to be cool. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Film's a mixed bag. It has some decent performers, and a good score by Randy Edelman that's become a fixture of movie trailers, but it lacks dramatic heft and some of the performances (notably the villian) are cringe-inducing.
I suppose it was an icebreaker in that it was a fantasy film with a high budget in the mid-1990's, something rarer than hen's teeth, and it is certainly better from an acting and directing standpoint than many of the early 80's sword-and-sandal epics. But it's not what I'd call a great movie, and certainly not anywhere close to the level of the LoTR flicks. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

Gr|M, your first post borders on spam. This is definitely not a threadmaking practice we are fond of around here, hence I will be closing this.
Please put more meaningful content in your first post -- say, your own opinion on the subject -- next time you make a thread. Most amazing jew boots |
