I suppose this is game telling story of Samurai Cat in the time before Meiji Restoration period. Surprisingly the music is quite good, well not really good, mediocre. Most of the tracks are written in japanese classical style (at least I interpreted so). The tracks are smooth that it might make you fall asleep. But all the tracks seemingly sound same, I dont find any that is memorable. I couldnt differ the difference of one track to another. The quality of the synthesizer is standard, the string sounds bit lame, but nice overall. This album also features the using of environment music, like seven seconds sound of rain the track 08 Why. There is also some track using Japanese traditional instrument, Shamisen as in 14 Marriage. The album also using Fade-out, fade-in style, that means another track comes in before the current track finished. I dont really find it bugging though. The best track in this album is the last track, Otogiri Jubee. This is one of the most relaxin tracks in my entire VGM collection. I would compare this track with "Feel" that was arranged by Masashi Hamauzu and Chocobo remixed track from FF VI Special album. I have yet to be bored with this track. You probably like this track if you like both tracks I have mentioned before. Well, currently slightlydark.com is the only place you could get this rare album, I suggest you to download it before they remove it. 3/5 Jam it back in, in the dark.
