Mega Man ZX
Well, it appears that the next Mega Man game for DS won't be Zero 5, but a new entry in the serie. ZX is a continuation of Zero, although I'm not too sure about the story, all I know is that it feature 2 kids (a guy and a girl) who can transform into a X or Zero like armor. That means were pretty much gonna get a male and female version of X and Zero. Also, the art style is pretty similar to the Zero series and it will stay in is 2D roots. So, what do you think about the new serie, do you think it will be as bad as the Battle Network series (I hate it) or a nice addition to the Mega Man games?
You can find some screenshots here Jam it back in, in the dark.

So that's not the real Zero or X?!
How ya doing, buddy? |
Dammit, they made the girl get the Zero armor? There goes the angst. It's weird look at him... er... her like that. The eyes are too calm.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
i pretty much can't play new mega man games.
what the fuck have they done? just fucking stick with 2d x and original series! but nooo, make all these cutesy side-characters and new series with shitty gameplay but pretty graphics. just like sonic games. Most amazing jew boots |
Looks like the Zero games 1 through 100 thousand for the GBA to me. I dont know how that kind of game could effectivly utilize the dual screen, though.
I was speaking idiomatically. |
I was never too interested in the Zero games (because, just like Battle Network (which I actually liked at first), they keep killing the series with too many fucking sequels), and this game ain't doing much to change my mind on the current state of Mega Man games. I'll wait until more info comes out before I finally decide whether to get it or not, but right now I'm thinking not.

I actually thought the person in the Zero armor was a guy with long hair. I think we talked about that in the last Mega Man ZX topic (before the board wipe).

I'm more interested in how the music is going to sound than the game itself. Is that weird?

If given the choice I'd never play as X. Nothing can beat the versatility of the Z-Saber/Z-Buster combo. Shit, I'll tear the screen in half with Z-Saber alone. I'm an in-your-face kind of guy.

I want to see how Inticreates can pull off X's gameplay style seeing as they mastered Zero's up close and personal style.
Edit:Then again, I think playing as the Four Gaurdian Live-Armors will be a bit funner. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
The Megaman series is pulling of too many side stories and spin-offs to keep me interested in the games but I'll always love the Megaman Music. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
I think the only thing that may interest me is the music. It seems like they might be trying to pull the ladies into playing these games, but I'd have to see their marketing campaign first.

Sup GFF faggots, who can't handle shit? |
Seriously, whos that "girl"? Zero serises was alright, expect I hate Zero's new make over since Zero serises came out, but now I am kinda used to it.

What's the plot for the game, anyway? I bet it's like "Zomg I am so tired of fighting robots, I have handed over my powers to some kids so they can continue to fight robots in a neverending era of robot wars."
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
If this game captures any of the great gameplay elements MMZ had, consider it a must buy in my books. FELIPE NO |
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
Anyway, the Live-Metals allow them(Vent and Aile) to turn into either a Mega Man X-like body suit or a Zero-like suit. They go on to fight against the Irregulars that have been attacking the city and what-not. Apparently, they also gain the ability to turn into a form called ZX which is a mixture between the X and Zero form as well as a form from each of the Gaurdians(Harpuia,Leviathan,Shadow and Fefnir) from Mega Man Zero. I'm positive that there will be more to the story though. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
Hope so, that's kinda sketchy.
Although the Zero series plot was awesome, it really drove the games foreward. I was completely satisfied with them. Then again, I'm not very picky. I don't think I've disliked a single Mega Man game to date. Yes, including X7. How ya doing, buddy? ![]() |
I thought all the X games after X3 sucked ass, most noticeably X7.

Heard about this the day one of those Famitsu scans were put up on the net. I can't wait for this. Looks great and I'm loving the lush amount of colors and detail.

There's also a trailer out on Youtube, it looks pretty cool.

It looks to me like the same thing only rebottled into a more graphically stunning package.
I hope it adds something better in to the gameplay other then Power Rangers/guardian morphing. What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
