Worst Soundtrack Ever!!

Ever downloaded a soundtrack and thought...why have i just wasted 2 hours of my life downloading the most boring - uninspiring or just plan crap music ever

What's your worst and why?

Mine -
Kenran Butousai OST - It might as well be silence - it is just plain boring!
Wild ARMS 2 OST - Good Music, but it needed more looping :P

Really? Could you elaborate more because I thought it had some decent themes. As a whole, it's pretty light and simple, yet it fits the game quite well. Sure, it's not Final Fantasy, but it can still stand up.

I've heard much (and even much more) worse; "Lose Your Marbles" comes to mind. Both the sound (cheap MIDI samples) and the compositions are bad, making it very uninspired. Stay away!

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I think Cuardian's Crusade had good music. Haven't heard it in a while, though.

I'll say Kingdom Hearts 2 OST. It's a new one, but can't think of more horrible crap than it, at the moment nothing else comes to mind. Most of Tenpei Satoo's Stuff is pretty horrible too.

Worst original soundtrack >> Legend of Dragoon Original Soundtrack
:: I know quite a few people that rave about this soundtrack but I could never get into it. I just don't see what the appeal is. Most of the themes are totally generic, watered down and uninspired to me.

Worst arrange album >> Final Fantasy Mix
:: I mean come on, 'nuff said, right?

How ya doing, buddy?

RyuFAN, you really should try and make your first posts in threads you make more definitive as to what the thread is about. What I'm trying to say is, four words doesn't cut it. I don't want to have to see any more reports from your threads.

<Mercarios> I voted for hut hut, because it's a superior track, but you gotta draw a line between having fun and going too far

I'll try not be to vague in future

Bishop:
Agree with FFMix. Legend of Dragoon music can be plain, but I still like the main vocal theme (track 1). As far as the cd itself goes, I hate the fact that the themes themselves are only looped once, plus some of the descent tracks where missed out, like the Wingly Forest theme.

I've never actually heard anyone rave about Legend of Dragoon's soundtrack, but If You Still Believe and the ending track are decent enough.

I'll say Lunar:SSSC's OST. The vocal songs are okay, but the rest was incredibly bland for me. I'm not a huge Iwadare fan in the first place, though.

Erhm...That's, uh, good reasoning. :eyebrow: Too bad a lot of OST's do this...

Worst OST: Capcom vs SNK: Millennium Fight 2000. Should have been a great tribute to both sides...Instead, it's nothing but a bunch of hideously generic techno loops on some of the world's worst synthesizers and a joke of a rap song thrown in for good measure. And if that's not bad enough, two awful remixes of two already awful tracks are thrown in for good measure.

Worst Arrange: This travesty

The Black Mages II - The Skies Above. Not only did I not know half

of the tracks, but the ones I DID know about completely sucked,

especially Otherworld. That song does not need female vocals!

The only track that was okay was Man with the Machine Gun.

Yeah, the vocal theme is really good, but the rest of the soundtrack is full of lifeless, dull and utterly boring "songs" that don't impress me at all. It has it's few moments, but overall, it's a very lackluster album in my view.

I haven't come across any 'bad' soundtrack yet, but most NES music doesn't seem to be that enlightening to me. The few NES tunes I DO like, however, are those from Super Mario Bros. 1-3 and a couple of Megaman tracks.

F.F. Mix always hangs around the bottom of my list of soundtrack related music - I just can't get into it but even then it have some redeeming songs for me. I dont think I've heard a soundtrack that completely missed me although The Bouncer did come close for a long while.

I hate jazz so I was so shocked when I received my Enthusia Professional Racing Soundtrack. I listened to Under A Blue Sky and the Opening Theme and I was like "THIS IS A MUST HAVE". I'll never listen to it anymore.

The gamerip of Megaman Powered Up. They remixed all the stage music into major key. O_o Every single song, destroyed. I could not believe just how awful the soundtrack was. Talk about taking a big steaming dump on the source material.

The Dragon Quest 8 OST was pretty bad too. The arranged version of the soundtrack is pretty good, but the original sequencing is insultingly amateurish. The Dragon Quest soundtracks from the SNES have better sound quality. It is quite bad, probably done at the very last minute. Poor Japanese consumers.

I can mostly sympathize with this view. Lots of NES songs sound bad, but then, there's gems like Crystalis (a soundtrack that I still love to this day).

Looks like I'm one of the few who actually like FF Mix.
But I wonder why no one mentioned this really crappy "FF 1994-1999" arrangement album. THAT was crap.

Besides that, I can't really think of an OST which I would call "Worst OST ever". If it comes to loops, i would like to add the FFIV, the Secret of Mana and the F-Zero GX/AX OST's.

How ya doing, buddy?

Probably Shinobi (The PS2 game). I had no clue about what the hell was going on when I listened to the soundtrack. Couldn't recognize one tiny bit of the music, but that's maybe because the game is such a steaming pile-

Let's leave that for some other thread. Shinobi gets my vote here

That'd be Motohiro Kawashima lol. But yeah, I have to say that Streets of Rage 3 had a pretty bad soundtrack. It hurts for me to say this... but even the songs Koshiro contributed weren't all that good. :\

I have to say the Unreal 2 soundtrack.
Jeremy Soule is a really good composer, but his work on Unreal 2 absolutely utterly sucked. Not just compared to his other outstanding soundstracks but to music in general. It was just that bad. It sounded like some cheesey low budget score from an early 90's movie.

Ogre Battle arranged is the worst crap in VGM ever. The first track introduce a british man singing like somekind of tokusatsu and most of the tracks dont cover any of Ogre Battle theme. I would give score 30/100 for this album.

Legend of Dragoon = I know it's bit generic, but I still love it. Memorable tracks are non existant in this soundtrack (maybe because the music is very ambient) I enjoy it in the end though.

Jam it back in, in the dark.
You all think you got good deals, huh? Ha! You frugal and observant shoppers have more to learn.
