Odd/interesting eBay sales

In this thread, link to interesting eBay sales that you might run into.

Also please provide the selling price, the listing description, and what sort of drugs you think the sellers and buyers are on(optional).

To kick it off.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...36#description

This ebay sale is for a single Tictac, labelled "Mint in Box".

This mint is of the Tic Tac variety and is comprised of the following:

Sugar
Fructose
Rice Starch
Dextrin
Stabilizer (Gum Arabic)
Flavourings
Glazing Agent (Carnauba Wax)

The mint measures approximately 1cm in length, .5cm width and has a pleasing girth.

The box is made of clear plastic and is embossed with the letter F and is dishwasher safe (see image). It is also recycleable.

The metallic effect label bears the slogan "Freshness in 2 calories", the words 'tic tac' and 'Fresh Mint'. The ingredients are listed, along with nutrional values, the 'e' mark, the bar code and the original weight when full (16g).

The box is stamped with:
06/02/07 (This appears to be the expiry date)
L037ZC--31

The plastic flip top is still attached, although the seal is broken.

The mint is in UNSUCKED condition has only been removed for photographic purposes.

I have consumed many boxed mints in the past (after de-boxiing, naturally) and can confirm that they do indeed freshen one's breath. They are particularly suitable for dirty, disgusting smokers and those that like their food a little spicy. The box is the perfect size to slip into a pocket, bag or fanny pack.

If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

Happy bidding!
This thing sold for £5, with £1 shipping.

(I think this might get moved into Laughs and Games, but I would like it to not go there, since that place doesn't seem to get much traffic)

EDIT: For added discussion, if you have sold any odd things on eBay as well, feel free to share what it was.
If you have made frivolous eBay purchases, share those stories as well, and describe why the hell you wasted $200 on a haunted rubber duckie.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Cut to ten years from now, eBay will be used only to sell obscure, often metaphysical and abstract things.

I should sell my soul on eBay, but I bet that's been done before like 100 times.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I recall some thread here on Gamingforce about someone selling a 'haunted' doll. It was a stuffed Stitch plushie from an obscure shop near Disney world (or so the seller told the readers.. Never buy anything for dirt-cheap and obscure/creepy little shops. Movies have taught us this much).

Anyways, it sold for a buttload of cash and the page was filled this this man's horror stories of what happened while the doll was in their possession.

I don't really believe the doll was haunted or that any of that stuff happened, but it is a interesting way to sell something.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

If you think something like that is true, you will come to believe it based on poor evidence and the absence of your own logic.

I got a set of Star Trek - The Search for Spock glasses (as in cups) that were collected by my parents at Arby's like 12 years ago. Bidding starts at 1,000 bux

I actually saved pictures from that auction. The ones where the video footage actually "caught on tape" the ear movements of said plushie Stich.

Reminds me of that silly "Virgin Mary in your toast" sale, as well as the in-game island sale, and the ludicrous amount paid for the "Cyber Stein" Yu-Gi-Oh! card. People are so funny.

I'm doubting anything that is sold for one penny. What's the point? It really tickles my mind!

I've often thought about making some virgin mary related food items and selling them for a pretty penny. Who's with me?

This one time I found some dude trying to sell his grandmother's soul. Oh, and I've seen a town put itself up for sale before.

The "Questions from other members" on this item are hilarious.

I guess people think they can make mad cash if the item they're auctioning is humorous enough. Exploiting the internet, yayas~

Its like selling air guitars on eBay. ;_; And some people are actually dumb enough to buy them!

Worst, they sometimes even charge a shipping fee for it. XD

They know what they are bidding on. They are aware of the fact that it isn't actually a guitar, hence the term "air guitar". Also, a shipping fee is added becuase the item is actually shipped. The seller packes the air guitar, mails it, and the receiver unwraps his new air guitar. It's not that the buyers are stupid, they just have a little extra cashe and buy these kinds of things for the experience.
