Need suggestions to make acoustic guitar & piano vgm albums

So, I'm trying to put together a list of enough good acoustic guitar songs and good piano songs to make a cd of each. The songs don't have to be only acoustic guitar or piano, but they should be the main instruments.

Here's what I have so far; you'll notice it mainly consists of stuff I've heard in BSC and other contests here:

Acoustic guitar album:

Chrono Cross - Radical Dreamers ~ Unstolen Jewel ~
Final Fantasy VIII - Breezy
Gitaroo Man - The Legendary Theme (Acoustic Version)
Suikoden - Main Theme (Arrange)

It's hard to think of good acoustic guitar vgm. This is what I need the most help with.

Piano album:

Beyond Good & Evil - Theme Home
Breath of Fire V: Dragon Quarter - A Small Departure
Chrono Trigger - Peaceful Days (kLuTz's piano version)
Final Fantasy X - To Zanarkand
Final Fantasy X-2 - Eternity ~Memory of Lightwaves~
Gran Turismo 2 - Moon Over the Castle (mainly just the intro and ending)
Katamari Damacy - Overture
Kingdom Hearts - Dearly Beloved
Kingdom Hearts 2 - Dearly Beloved
Saga Frontier 2 - Ruckerinnerung
Suikoden II - Reminiscence
The Incredible Machine 3 - Ragtime
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker - Farewell, Hyrule King
The Sims - Build 01
The Sims - Build 03
Unlimited Saga - DG "sadness"
We Love Katamari - Overture 2
Xenosaga Episode I - Green Sleeves
Xenosaga Episode I - Nephilim

If possible, I'd like to make a cd with a good variety of songs from a bunch of different games. In other words, I don't want all songs from FF Piano Collections (however good they may be).

Jam it back in, in the dark.
Check out my original music at my Soundcloud page!

Latest music rips (updated January 10, 2012):

SimCity DS - Jazz/ambient/electronic music including interesting reworkings of songs from the fantastic SimCity 3000 soundtrack
Cold Winter Original Game Music Score - Really cool; dark, full, emotional strings mixed with drums, piano, choir. Kind of like Furious Angels?

Play-Asia - Japanese CDs, game soundtracks, game imports, & more

Do these songs solely have to be acoustic guitar? I ask cause Street Fighter II - Lyra: On Your Mark ~Fei Long Stage~ (great song, by the way) has an acoustic guitar featured as part of a larger jazz and electronic ensemble.

How ya doing, buddy?

Well, songs like the four I listed (mainly acoustic) would be ideal, but songs with acoustic guitar solos and such would be cool as well. I'll look into what you mentioned; I may have to include some songs like that if I can't get enough solely acoustic songs.

I forgot about that Katamari one; thanks. The Wonderful Star's Walk is Wonderful is another one that features acoustic guitar, though not as prominently.

The piano list already looks pretty well done to me, so I'll just mention stuff about acoustic guitar music.

Hmm.. I noticed one fan arrangement in your list, Drakken (kLuTz's version of Peaceful Days). If you're interested in more fan stuff, I'd reccomend some music by a fan of Zelda known as "Alak".

I haven't been able to find any downloads of his acoustic versions of some popular Zelda themes recently.. Zelda Universe used to have some mp3 downloads of his arrangements, but it seems that all the links are broken now. I guess you could check there later, as they may be fixed in the future.

They're pretty good arrangements though, if you're a fan of acoustic guitar (and LoZ) music. Nothing totally eargasmic, but they make for a pleasant listen I suppose. D: I uploaded what few arrangements (which I downloaded before the mp3 links were broken) to sendpsace, if you're interested in checking them out.
And yeah, I want to stab myself for not grabbing his version of "Dark Overworld"

I was speaking idiomatically.

Thanks, Kanji. I found another page with all his arrangements.

That reminds me - Gerudo Valley from OoT is another good one.

As for acoustic guitar I suggest:

Ico - Castle in the Mist (not sure whether it's acoustic guitar or a similar sound instrument)
Final Fantasy X - The Sight of Spira is a pretty nifty acoustic guitar track to the Suteki Da Ne theme

for piano:

Final Fantasy XI - Recollection
Or this one from SOTW:
.hack//GAME MUSIC Perfect Collection <chikayo, SEIZO, FUKU> - staff4 Vol. 4 (Staff Roll)

Wow, totally forgot about Castle in the Mist. The Sight of Spira is another nice one. Thanks.

Er, Recollection doesn't have any piano in it.

Thanks. I like a few of those.

EDIT: I'm going through the Chrono Cross OST now, and there are a lot of good acoustic songs on there. Voyage - Another World is acoustic guitar AND piano.

Dammit this soundtrack is good. It's been awhile since I listened to it. Makes me sad to think of what could have been (Chrono 3).

There's nowhere I can't reach.

You're welcome, and many thanks for the other site. I wanted to listen to the stuff that I was missing.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I've been able to remember about a couple:

Guitar:

Age of Empires: Rise of Rome - Polyester Jammy
GotzenDiener - Graveyard Labyrinth
King's Quest V - The Desert Oasis
Lionheart - Main Menu
Shadow Madness - Barleygrove

Piano:

Enemy Zero - Laura's Theme
Evil Dead: Hail To The King - Credits
G-Darius Miraikanryou - Adam #2
Parasite Eve - Theme Of Aya (Reprise)
Toy Story - Red Alert

And here is a YSI link for all of them: http://s62.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3...61Y3WX7ZRGQXDO

Since I literally adored it to unmeasurable extents, I'd suggest some excerpts from the "Sailing to the World" piano album. That whole collection is incredibly touching in its soft and tender simplicity.

I'd recommend by far Track 02 ('Sailing to the World') and Track 03 ('Melody of Aqua') - but Track 07 provides a great effect too, despite being a further arrangement of the already-established main theme.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Hamauzu is my favourite for anything piano in my books. His Theme For Vent is a great acoustic guitar piece, from Unlimited SaGa, though.

As far as fan piano arrangements go, I highly recommend The Trial in Concert by Spekkosaurus and Waltz of Pain by Blak_Omen and Dhsu.

fan piano arrangement? nothing could beat Patrick Trickwaters' piano arrangement for Dragon Quest IV.

You all think you got good deals, huh? Ha! You frugal and observant shoppers have more to learn.

None of that approaches this:

The Mr. Methane CD, purchased over ebay for .01¢. Yeah, free shipping. This guy performs all sorts of neat stuff, including the doot doot, doot doot from the Blue Danube.

Allow me to share a track from this CD. Here ya go.
I think he should have paid you .01¢ instead.
