Japanese keywords, WTF?
Okay...so I had this adware on my computer last night. I had spysweeper take it out all the way. It was some Hijacker that hijacks diffrent parts of IE with Chinese sites/characters/ETC. I don't know if this has anything to do with that but I found out that but I found that when I right click a link (or anywhere for that matter) I get this:
![]() The "visit Japanese keywords" thing was never there until I got the adware last night. I want to know what it is (I'm afraid to click it) and how to get rid of it if it's related to the adware. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
I don't know what it is, but search your registry for all instances of that text and remove the entries--such should remove the entries from your menu, at the least.
How ya doing, buddy? |
First off, I couldn't find it in the registry. Secondly.....I found out that there's actually a file for it on the start menu under programs. Like I said this never happened until I got the spyware.....not to mention that I had spysweeper take it out, it said nothing about having to manualy delete left over files or anything and yet that file still remains.
there is a uninstall....but the icon's broken so I'm a little afraid to click that....there are also 2 HTML files on there. They link to some place called jword.jp. ![]() Any more help or ideas on how to get it off are welcomed.... This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
