PS3 wired internet connection with no router
I am trying to get online with my PS3 with no router. I hear its supposed to work fine if you just plug the ethernet cable from the ps3 directly to the modem or LAN port on the PC. I've tried both but neither work. It just keeps saying it can't find an IP.
Are there some settings that I need to change somewhere or is it the cable? Any of you guys use this setup? Thanks for the help if you can provide any. Jam it back in, in the dark. |
After you plug the PS3 into your modem, power cycle the modem.
There's nowhere I can't reach. I didn't say I wouldn't go fishin' with the man.
All I'm sayin' is, if he comes near me, I'll put him in the wall. |
Thanks for input, but I found the problem, I had to right click the network connection and go to properties and check internet sharing.
How ya doing, buddy? |
