Interview with David Bergeaud (Ratchet & Clank Series Composer)

To all those who have played the games or heard the music from the Ratchet & Clank series, you might be interested by an interview we recently did over at VGM Rush with composer David Bergeaud. We asked him about his past, present, and future, plus a number of questions concerning the VGM industry and his vision on music. If you would like to learn more about him, check out the interview by following this link:

That's quite a coup, and a fascinating interview to boot!

I wonder what Kaleb thinks of it.. I know he's a big Bergeaud fan.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Awesome, great work. Looking forward to more from you guys.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Excellent interview, Rimo! I knew practically nothing about Bergeaud before this interview, but I feel like I know so much now. I can relate to his love of variety (though not so much in the cultural aspect). I'm glad that he is in talks with Insomniac about a possible soundtrack. Perhaps I should e-mail David myself and lay forth my desire to buy anything he puts out.

Again, great work, Rimo! =}

Well I learned some new things about him, so mission accomplished.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Sad to read they're even thinking of an incomplete soundtrack. I know I'm demanding, but I want the whole thing. Glad to finally put a face to the composer, though. I don't think I've seen his face properly before this.

Better yet, let's compose a collaborate letter/address demanding the release of the music from Ratchet. I'd buy that pretty much any day. The more people behind it, the more it gets recognized.

How ya doing, buddy?

Like Kaleb, I knew very little about David besides his VGM/Movie scores but now I know so much more. I thank you for a fantastic interview, Rimo!
