How do I find out how fast my DVD drive is?
I just got an 8x external usb dvd drive. Seems like it's kinda slow though...how do I find out if it's really burning at 8x?
Jam it back in, in the dark.

Usually after you're done burning, some DVD recording programs will give statistical readouts. Some of them will give write speeds as it's going along.
It may seem slow if your computer doesn't support USB2.0. USB1 only supports up to 4x, and even then not very well. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
