BoMToons Flash Games

Please indulge me on this one - it's a bit of a personal plug, but I've held off on it until now because I feel like it's progressed to the point where the average GFF person could appreciate the work that's gone into it, and I don't gain anything by linking it - it's a game site link. It's a site for Flash games that my co-worker and my cousin have programmed and put together. They are largely Book of Mormon (hence the "BoM") or Mormon-themed, but they have no hidden agenda - they're just for fun and to play around with. My cousin and I don't believe in the whole ulterior motives to push our beliefs thing - the stories are just a convenient creative start.

The best games to try out (in my opinion) are Overcome and the Point and Click Adventure. I even did some of the voice acting for the Point and Click (I'm the meat salesman at the gate) and some of the movies (like the lady in my avatar). The music in some of the games is original (not all). Check it out!

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I beat the point-and-click one and messed around with a few others. The point-and-click was great with the different talking paths, really reminded me of the early LucasArts stuff.

Pretty impressive flash skills, this must have taken forever to put together.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

The themes of these games are rather............... oddly religious.

But other than that, the point and click is the most favorable one to play. That VL one is just stupid..... a spaceship with lips.

Yeah, our graphic designer is creative, but often in the weirdest ways. To date, my cousin and I won't play the VL one. Easily the oddest of the lot.

The point and click did take a long time, but my cousin built the infrastructure so that sequels would be easier (though not easy) to produce. It's not hard coded in. Anyway, part two of the point-and-click is about 3-4 times as long as the first, and it's well under way. We mostly have to get some things linked upa nd a bunch of the voice acting done. It looks really good.

The Lemmings-like Moroni's March game is my current favorite. The Korihor game is good too - if you can't figure it out, don't worry, because it's sort of an inside joke for people who've read the Book of Mormon. Korihor was a seriously bad dude who ended up being struck dumb (on his own urging for a sign) and went begging for food but got trampled in an ignominious death.
