Computer randomly switches itself off.

Only during specific things though. If I'm running a game, or if I'm printing out a large number of pages, it'll randomly just click itself off and I have to restart it. Anyone have any idea why this stuff happens? It has no problems with running torrents, or IRC or winamp, but when I run games it'll click out after a while and shut off, or high number of pages printed. Anyone out there able to help a computer retarded individual?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Well, I've had Aztec gods mad at me before. Nanahuatzin, for instance, was just the other day telling me how annoyed he was with my shenanigans. But he's never switched off my computer.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

The lesser gods have to be a bit passive-aggressive because of their relatively paltry powers.

Well he shouldn't be! He had the opportunity to be the sun god, but he turned it down cause he's all scared of the sun and shit. Not my fault.

I was speaking idiomatically.

Well, I'd say that you might not have a strong enough PSU if it's switching off during games ... but printing pages really doesn't correlate to that.

I had a problem with my computer shutting off randomly in the past, and it ended up being the graphics card. Go figure.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?

Do some stress testing: burncpu, prime95, memtes86, 3dmark - anything that stresses the hardware

I would have to agree, it sounds like either and overheating issue, or may be a bad component. I would suggest testing the ram using memtest86 as it occurs during 2 fairly ram intensive tasks.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Check out this neat Media Player that I programmed
