Good music review sites

Does anybody here have some input on what would be a good place to get music reviews? Currently, I only frequent Allmusic.com, which I've always trusted and have always agreed with for the most part. Still, I like seeking other opinions. Any sites you can recommend?

Pitchforkmedia.com

Pitchfork is always unbiased, never elitist, and certainly isn't the biggest den of jerkoff indie kids on the face of the planet.

You'll love it.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

John Mayer just asked me, personally, through an assistant, to sing backup on his new CD.

o deni u~

I don't that there is any great, genre overarching review database like allmusic, but there are a number of genre-specific websites that can be quite good.

The Prog Archives is an absolutely outstanding resource for progressive rock/jazz/metal or anything in that general stream. Really quality stuff most of the time.

There are a lot of elitist douche-hats hanging out at Encyclopaedia Metallum, but due to the large amount of people who actually take the time to write reviews over there you'll quite often stumble upon something well-written and reliable.

Punk77 has a pretty annoying layout, but can be a great resource for info on earlier punk bands.

Brainwashed is a must for new music reviews for me.

Cokemachineglow.com is pitchfork, but less pretentious.

I personally just crawl metacritic and pick some reviews that seem well-written.

Cokemachineglow is really just as bad as pitchfork, but is easier to get away with using because it is not as well known.

I was speaking idiomatically.

I browse Welcome! - Rate Your Music. Like, a lot. The reviews themselves rarely tell me anything specific or interesting, since many people, for some obscure reason, write good reviews in French and Russian, both of which I am quite rusty in. What matters, though are the overall scores the albums have gotten. That is usually a good measure of how good the album is (for example over 4 is very good, over 3.8 is good too etc).

Don't touch the horrible goon infested forums, they're nothing short of elitistic jerkoffs and attempts at trying to be underground and hate Blackwater Park and all that jizz.

Also, if you can read Finnish, there's Korroosio, where good people, including yours truly, write reviews.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
