Help for a psp newb

I was just wondering about the downloaded ISOs. Are there games that don't work for certain versions?? If a game doesn't work, is the file corrupt or is it my psp? I've gotten around 4 games that don't work...namely:

Brave Story (JP) wont load,
Valkyrie Profile Lenneth won't start new game but I did see the intro,
Prince of Persia Rev hangs at random cut scenes from ubisoft logo to after new game
and
Patapon (JP) hangs at "Now Loading".

How ya doing, buddy?

It helps if you identify which firmware and psp (slim or fat) you are using.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

I've actually never had an ISO fail to load on my PSP. I suspect you've downloaded bad ISOs. I usually make my own ISO images from my collection. I'm just not into carrying around a huge pile of UMDs. Making my own ensures that they always work. I know that's not always an option, but I'm certain that corrupt ISOs is most likely the cause of your problem.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

I am using PSP Slim ver.3.71 M33-2.

@Soluzar:
Thats a big relief to hear. I thought maybe there was something wrong with compatibility that I didn't know. I'll just have to be careful in downloading I guess. UMDs are a bit expensive for me..and bit hard to find in my area.

I think the all-around best CFW is/was 3.52 M33-4. I've ran into NO incompatibilities with that CFW.

I was speaking idiomatically.
