Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles Original Soundtrack
Sorry if this was already posted. The official RE:UC OST will be released on December 19th in Japan and will feature 49 tracks in total. I wonder how much of the music will be recycled from older games? (Haven't gotten around to playing it, yet, but I bought it today.)

Ah! Finally some more information on the soundtrack. Link to the original source (Famitsu doesn't allow direct linking, copy and paste the URL).
This is going to be one hell of an OST. I loved a lot of the remixes from past games. It seems the title is really called "Biohazard: The Umbrella Chronicles" in Japan (the official Japanese trailers also called it "Biohazard: The Umbrella Chronicles"), not just "Biohazard: Umbrella Chronicles" like the Katakana transliteration "バイオハザード アンブレラ・クロニクルズ" suggests. This is probably due to the "The" before "Umbrella" which is pronounced "si", not "sa". The Japanese have a modern established Katakana for the sound "si" ("スィ"), but they probably didn't use it in the title because most Japanese don't know the English pronunciation rules. Get some sample files I extracted from the official websites a while back. ♥ "Cold Water" and "Save Theme". Information: * Composers: Masafumi Takada, Jun Fukuda (both from Grasshopper Manufacture Inc.) * Price: 3175 Yen (tax included) * Release date: December 19th, 2007 * Full color booklet * 45 tracks * Units produced first will be Limited Editions with special sleeve cases But that thread would be more fitting for the General Game Music Discussion forums, I guess. After finishing the game, I really enjoyed the remixed tracks they used from various Resident Evil's.
I was particularly fond of Wesker's remixed version of "Wreckage of the Mad Experiment" from the Resident Evil 2 Complete OST during his "Beginnings" chapter (think that's the one he started with) for the Resident Evil 0 arc. I was speaking idiomatically. |

The music in this one was really excellent. Especially the Nemesis final boss theme, as that's the one from the He Lives trailer, it's nice to see that this game is getting an OST of it's own.

I have the album in APE format right now. Haven't converted to .flac nor MP3, yet. I'm going to do a V0 conversion, though.
