Cheating with hdloader

I hope I didnt post this in wrong forum since I'm asking about ps2 with harddisk topic.

Anyway, just recently I purchased ps2 hdd without optic lens, the game only could be played by copying the game in the harddisk. So far I have no problem with this method though I want to ask whether it's possible or not using certain cheat device (like codebreaker) when using hdloader to play the game.

I have browsed some forum, and it seems cheating is possible, only if optic lens still available, though unfortunately, mine doesnt have it anymore.

Anyway guys, if you have some tips or any possible method to cheat using codebreaker, armax, gameshark, etc, in this opticless ps2 hdd, please let me know.
