School and PE
So I'm sure that a number of people here have to deal with the problem of doing some sort of physical activity during their school day. What things do you do to help prevent the BO at school?
Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I think you'll find the majority of us no longer attend highschool.
Washing and wearing deodorant is usually a pretty good technique to not smell like shit. As a general rule though, all kids stink. It's gross. There's nowhere I can't reach.

I don't either. I just happen to have a tennis class that ends 20 minutes before Partial Differential Equations.
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
There's no hidden secret. If you can't shower, bring some deodorant and an extra shirt. Not that tough.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
At the high school I graduated from, they stopped the whole showering process to begin with.
Deodorant was all you could use. We were, however required to wear gym clothes so we wouldn't get our school clothes messed up or anything. One rule of thumb was to at least wash it once a week. Some people just refused to do it... Ugh... It was horrible. I was speaking idiomatically. |

Request for information denied, I do not appreciate your dicking around with some silly sense of smell. Instead of worrying about this you should be using the showers provided for some justifiable ends, like those lovable boys in Porky's did.

I would always sign up for the lame PE classes in high school because back then I really didn't give a shit about gym class. I would leave gym shorts from first quarter in my locker until the last day of school... Man, that was some rank shit.

Obviously, I am not involved in PE anymore. While I am resting a good bit from a nasty cold/flu/something, before I exercised and usually did all my exercise BEFORE a good shower. That pretty much did it for me.
What, you don't want my bikini-clad body? |
I saw 'School and PE' and thought of the good old days when PE was playing with a large parachute in fifth grade. Then I read the topic and was like "Why would fifth graders be worried about BO?"
As for me in High School... I tied my hair up, put on gym clothes, used deotorant, and told myself that at least I wouldnt be the only one stinking up the joint if it came down to it. Luckily, I usually had gym period towards the end of the day, so I only had to go through one or two (if any) classes before school let out and soccer practice began. The worst is when you have to be around a kid with braids, because when you have braids you can't wash your hair, because they get messed up. So they shower with shower caps and their hair smells awful.
A few of my friends have braids and I don't know why they just don't shave that stuff off. There's nowhere I can't reach.

We didn't even have showers at our high school. I remember being in grade 9 and we actually had PE as our first class during the morning. Sometimes it got pretty rank but I always tried to have two shirts any day that I had PE.
I didn't take PE again until grade 12, but it wasn't as bad because PE was always the last class of the day but our teach worked us pretty hard when it came to doing certain sports during PE, but all in all it was good fun. Nvere had to worry about Body Odor in Grade 12, but in grade 9 thats a different story but I don't recall anybody ever making any complaints. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. ![]() |
I'd suggest a sports deo. Usually smells stronger than your average deo. I would take a shower but my PE ends at 11:30..the next class is 11:40. It would be impossible to run to the showers then get to the other building in time for class.

Oh man, I loved HS PE - one of my favourite classes (which is suprising if you know me, I'm a bit overweight, and don't look like I'm active)... But asides from that, we'd play the most kickass sports - floor hockey, lacrosse, it was awesome.
As for the smell, I used to wear a separate shirt/pants when doing PE, and bring extra deoderant, I find that the speedstick 24hr stuff works best. We had to wear separate uniforms for PE though, so it sorta helped.... Anyways, have fun, and keep your head up, hands on your stick, and stick on the ice! GO TEAM WIN!!!!!! I was speaking idiomatically.

Yeah people didn't know how to use deodorant back in Grade 9, particularly this one kid in our class. I was just thankful that PE was during last period, although it didn't help much. The stink was so bad, I literally didn't want to ever be partnered up with him for anything, let alone come within 3 feet of him, even just sitting in a classroom for those odd health days where you we actually playing anything. Always had to breath through my mouth back then. Boys stink :P
Of course given that it was last period, no one ever bothered to shower, and they didn't need to except for that one kid. What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I haven't had to do this for two years.
Until then, though, I made a point of getting myself kicked out of it every single session as a result of constantly complaining about how pointless it was. And then there was the horror of communal showers. Communal supervised showers. FELIPE NO |
