GFF Source?
What about providing some way for GFF members to view (and submit patches to) the source for GFF?
I realize this may be a difficult request, since vBulletin's licensing probably doesn't just allow you to show it anyone in the world, but perhaps a list of people who you can easily add to? Putting all of this in Subversion would make that hella easy and give the admins the advantage of having version control as well (woo!) Why am I asking for this? Mostly selfish reasons. I know I would want to contribute feature enhancements (example, being able to diss a journal entry -- right now you can only prop). I think there's significant programming ability on GFF that's ready, willing, and able to help improve the site. Any thoughts? I have more technical ideas about access control, test databases, etc, but I'd like feedback on the initial idea first. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |

You might as well forget about this ever happening, because Blah said in chat that there's no activity here therefore there's no point. That and he's a big Malaysian dung heap who never gets anything done anyway, proving that he is Bobo Version 3.0 (Miles is Bobo 2.0)

I can't really do this - not with the current journal code that is - because I've personally assured bobo that I would not reveal it to anyone else.
Forum enhancements are fine, but you can develop them with your own local copy of vBulletin. I'm not sure how many people are going to collaborate to make subversion necessary. This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
How heavily modified is our copy of vBulletin? For example, a "top propped posts" feature, similar to the one on ChocoJournal, would be quite cool. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? ![]() |
There's already too much crazy shit like that one the forums that a select few use and/or notice.
I'll stick with my GFF brand relish. How ya doing, buddy? ![]() |
