Windows Shortcuts
So, I'm adding shortcuts on my Passport Drive, so the drive letter changes frequently. My question is, is there a universal path I can toss down that doesn't require a drive letter at the start?
I tried leaving the letter off all-together, but that didn't seem to work. EDIT: Just realized this is in the wrong forum. If it could be moved to the Help Desk, that'd be awesome. Thanks. Jam it back in, in the dark.

There is %SYSTEMROOT%
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Why not nail the passport drive to one particular drive letter, say... Q?
Start -> run -> diskmgmt.msc Right-click the drive in question and "change the drive letter and path" to something sufficiently high. Most amazing jew boots |
Wouldn't I have to change the setting on each PC so that the drive showed up as that letter though?
I don't have ANY kind of access to that on the PCs at work, and I seriously doubt the school PCs would allow me to do that either. I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
