Windows registry cleaners?
I've always been a little wary of registry cleaners simply for the fact the registry is touchy as hell. One little error on a variable and repairing or reinstalling the OS is inevitable.
I'd like to mess around with a load of programs, but I hated how pieces of them get left behind even after uninstalling them making XP sloooowwww. Does anyone have any recommendations on registry cleaners? Or should I just not bother with them? Jam it back in, in the dark. |
I've used http://www.ccleaner.com/ before, and it worked all right.
Going to be honest, if you're heavily installing and uninstalling, reformat once a year. I feel it's faster. Just have current drivers on a cheap 256 flash drive. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I use Regcleaner from http://www.macecraft.com/. There is also the registry utility in Windows Rescue which is useful.
How ya doing, buddy? |
