Gmail
I would like to know what everyone's opinion of Gmail is. I had recently switched to Gmail as a means of creating a more "professional" e-mail account for job purposes, and it has just occurred to me that it is incapable of sending out messages in a reliable fashion. Out of 7 test messages sent to my other account, only 5 had shown up.
Now, I'm not really sure if I should be blaming Gmail, or my ISP's e-mail service. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
I've never had a problem sending out messages with Gmail, and I've never heard anyone else complain about a similar problem. I don't know why it would give you that kinda trouble. Weird.
There's nowhere I can't reach. ![]() |
Check your settings. Maybe you set spam settings to be too aggresive?
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
The only problem I've encountered with it is that it sometimes screws with my being able to view the Google calendar I use at work. Unless I remember to clear my cookies after I check my Gmail account, Google Calendar tries to use my Gmail address as my calendar login name instead of my work email address, which is what my login name is supposed to be. If that makes any sense.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body? |
I've never had problems with gmail, I've been extremely pleased with it, having come to it from years of using hotmail when its inbox was even smaller.
I've only ever lost mail once when writing to my work and that was something on the workplace's end, not gmail's. I was speaking idiomatically. ![]() |
My gmail account is my spam mail account, actually. I check it like once a week and wow boy, some advertising mails are really good for a laugh (and I am not talking about boring sperm shower mails here)
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
I've been using Gmail exclusively for about 3 years now. I don't see myself ever leaving. The interface is simple and clean to use, so much so that I have Gmail check my school account rather than using its interface. It false-negatives spam about 1/100 and false-positives real mail about 1/250. It's the best checker I've seen yet.
