Possibly looking to sell my rig for a new one...estimation on sell price?

Here's the current PC I'm using that I'm THINKING about selling for a new setup:

Monitor: Philips 15" HDTV/monitor
Motherboard: ASUS A8N5X (S939)
Processor: Athlon 4000+ SD Core
RAM: 2GB Kit Corsair XMS PC3200 CL3
Video Card: Biostar 7600GS 512MB PCI-e (HSF version, btw)
Mouse: Logitech MX Revolution
DVD Drive: LiteOn DVD+/-RW 16x
HD: WD Caviar 160GB SATAII 7200 RPM
Soundcard: SB Audigy Platinum
PSU: Antec 480W TrueBlue 2.0

I don't know what the case is. It was given to me by my friend. That's pretty much the whole kit n kaboodle. What do you guys think I could get for that?

Most amazing jew boots

USD$? I'd say mabye $350-$400. The Ram and Sound card are the only redeeming factor, and even then it has to be someone looking for a good soundcard, as today onboard sound solutions are good enough for most.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Don't forget that mouse is priced at over $100 in retail, so that could add to the price.

I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

The MX? I just picked one up for my brothers BDay at Costco for $79 CDN. Then you have to consider that his is used, and really only of interest to enthusiast, whom might not be all that interested in a system like this because of the Video Card, relatively small harddrive, and dated processor.

You are not going to have gamers or high end users looking to buy this system, it will be either a second pc some parents buy for their kids to surf and dl music on, or someone just looking for a general use pc, so the mouse will be the last thing on their mind. He might as well keep the mouse, unless he wants a high DPI gaming mouse or something.

You have to consider that I just put together the following PC for my uncle so his kids could play Rainbow Six: Vegas.

AMD x2 4000
Asus Mobo *forget the model number, AMD/ATI chipset so nothing too grand*
2 Gig of OCZ platnum
1 Coolmaster case
8600GT
320gb Seagate SATAII
500W Thermaltake PSU *was on sale*
for $465cdn, so about $420usd . , and thats not even including the $45 in mfr my uncle has to send in.

So for about $480usd after taxes and shipping *not even taking the mf rebates into consideration*, they get a better computer, minus a 15" lcd and mouse. Admittedly that doesn't include an OS, as I have a msdn account and just threw on Media Center for him, but he's mostly competing with bestbuy etc.. and their pc's do include an OS *plus he didn't mention if his comes with the OS, or what it is, if it is legit etc..*. Thats why I don't forsee a used computer with only a single core cpu and low-midend gpu selling for $500+usd. My original estimation of $350-$400 is little low, so i'll say $400-$450.

Your audience is going to be people like i said, either just picking up a computer for their kids, or people who don't know much about computers, in which case the soundcard and mouse are not going to mean much. $400 would be a good deal in my eyes just to save me the time and effort of building, but you can probably get away with $450. $600-$700? Not likely, but there are a lot of suckers out there.'

Edit: Just took a quick glance at BestBuy and CircuitCity, didn't realize that computers in the U.S. are not that much cheaper than Canada *too used to the old days when the cdn dollar was only at $0.60*.

Looking over your *competition*, I'd probably say $500, simply because of the RAM and non IGP video card. The HDD and CPU are kinda holding you back, but the monitor helps alleviate that. I'd say you should be able to get $500 pretty easily, if not a little more *Provided you got a legit copy of Windows on there*

I was speaking idiomatically.
