PS2 drive is dead?How boot the ps2 from a hdd
I have PS2 with mod-chip (i don't know my mod-chip) with dead drive,and i want to boot games from external hdd.i don't want to buy memor32 (FW hacked) to do that.if give me tutorial how to do it will be nice.

Why don't you just search google? There are countless tutorials on this stuff. Does your PS2 still load PS1 games? If so, you can use the Memory card exploit and load HDloader from your memory card, which is what I use. It's easy to do and it works great, and you don't even need a modchip for that. I don't have time to type up a tutorial(well maybe I do, but I'm not going to), just look for one, there are many.

There's no need to use the Independance Exploit. A lot of modchips (not all) can load an ELF file directly from the memory card or from the hard drive at boot time, without requiring the optical drive. Of course, the right ELF needs to be in the right folder on the device, and that is different on a per-modchip basis.
