Hey all,

So, I am wanting to make some DVD's in which basically are DVD's of DVD (so basically, I would have one DVD hold maybe four or five movies). I know this is possible because I have seen it, but when I use something like Nero, the best I can theoritically (but not in reality as I have found) get is 360 minutes.

What is the best software to use to do something liket his, and how can I best use it? Thanks.

Do you want a standard DVD disc (that can play in generally ALL DVD players?), or do you want a disc that will work with your specific DVD player/Computer/Laptop? This difference changes what you can do drastically.

Mostly, I would recommend only 2 movies per standard DVD disc (assuming you only copy the movie, no menus). Otherwise, the quality and bitrate will be far too low for either your DVD player, or viewing pleasure. You can do this very easily with a program called "DVD Shrink 3.2" but another more recent program that may work for this as well (haven't tried it) is "DVDFab Decrypter". Search for either of these on doom9.org or just google them.

BTW, You could potentially fit 4 movies (comfortably) on a dual-layer DVDDL, but this might make it not work in most DVD players.

Also, I have seen DVDs (not dual layer) that are able to have about six or seven hours of video on it (I think), with good quality, audio, and subtitles. THAT is what I aiming for.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

You basically have to re-encode the movies using his templates.

You have to pay a fee to access the forums, but the standard TMPGEnc templates are available here.

Hoy, all this new stuff. I loaded the templates up with TMPGEnc, but it mentioned that the audio files will not be included in the file. I am taking it that they mean there will be no audio. Any ideas on how to fix that (obviously, I want audio with my DVD's)?

I was speaking idiomatically.

Whether you realized it or not, that disc was dual layer. No two ways around it unless 320x240 meets your definition of "good quality"
