Using CUE sheets to split MP3 files

I was wondering if there was a direct way to make use of a cue file to split a continuous MP3 file into separate MP3 track files. Obviously, I could do it by hand in a wave editor program, but I'd like to avoid this route if there is a program out there which can do this for me without having to decode the original file first.

Jam it back in, in the dark.

Just tossing out that it'd also be super convenient if there were such an application for flac and ape files as well.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

Searching the Internets for, oh, I dunno, CUE Splitter might net you a result.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.

Oh uh...thanks! I tried searching for "MP3 splitter" "Split MP3s with CUE file" with little results. Who would have thought searching for "CUE Splitter" (even though I'm not trying to split a cue file) would have gotten what I wanted.

But seriously, thanks for the help.

Now does the Cue splitter transcode files? Or leave them at the exact same bitrate? (just splits them)

I was speaking idiomatically.

It just splits the file without doing any actual decoding and encoding. The program actually works very well and makes it easy to tag the split files.

What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now?
