Dual language .sub file not working
That's the thing, I've tried following various FAQs I've found online. I've tried using it through VLC player and this is what happens:
![]() I loaded the .sub file and hit "OK". ![]() I tried clicking on "Audio" and then "Track". As you can see, there's only two options there, either "Disable" or "Track 1". So, I installed VobSub and tried playing it through Media Player Classic and this is what happened: ![]() Through Media Player Classic, the Chinese subs are showing up, but not the English subs. I look for an option like VLC, but there is none. So, I try to load the subs again. ![]() And this is what I get every time. I've tried changing what it says, but I get the same message. I don't understand it. I had this same thing happen to me years ago when I tried to watch "Moonchild". My friend and I couldn't figure it out so I had to watch without subs... Needless to say, I have no idea what to do next. Every FAQ I've found online for this says the same thing, but it doesn't work for me. Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong? ![]() Jam it back in, in the dark. |
If Media Player Classic is your program of choice, and if the subs are actually loaded when you play the film, all you need to do is right-click on the main window->choose subtitles->choose the subs you want.
There's nowhere I can't reach. |
Thank you soooo much, seanne. It works now!
This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
Downloading the K-Lite Mega Codec Pack will allow you to have a ton of usability through Media Player Classic for these sorts of things, which I recommend you use for your video.
I am a dolphin, do you want me on your body?

If I remember correctly, if you have the same filename for the sub and the video, (but different extensions accordingly) you wouldn't have to manually load up the subtitles because it'll do it automatically.
ie: "anime_ep01.avi" and "anime_ep01.sub" Also in VLC player, the option menu for subtitles is under "Video" not "Audio." Video > Subtitles Track I was speaking idiomatically. |
In lieu of Lukage's K-Lite Mega Codec pack, may I just simply recommend the Combined Community Codec Pack, available at http://www.cccp-project.net?
What kind of toxic man-thing is happening now? |
