Chess Anime?

My friend told me there's a Chess Anime. It's probably a copy of Hikaru No Go. But oh well, at least its about a game I understand.

So is there one?

Jam it back in, in the dark.

I have never heard of one, I didn't know Chess was popular in Japan? Granted, Go isn't either, but they made an anime about that.

There's nowhere I can't reach.

What kind of chess? I don't know any, but it would be different from normal chess if he meant the anime was about Shogi (Japanese chess). If you can revolve an anime around Go then I don't think Chess would be too crazy.

This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it.
