Pinched Nerve?
I was playing basketball yesterday and I twisted my ankle while playing. It hurt for a couple of minutes, but it didn't bother me the rest of the night. I assumed that it just hurt because of the impact and that it wasn't sprained; it didn't really feel like a spring either. Today though, when I'm just sitting down and stretching my foot, it feels a little weird at the top of my foot from where my leg ends to near my toes. It's just at the top of my foot and there's no pain in the surrounding areas or on the ankle. It's not the same pain as a sprain (soreness), but it's more of a sharp pain, but it feels like it's in a thin line at the top of my foot (parallel to the direction of my foot, not across).
Is this what a pinched nerve feels like? It seems like such a minor injury to see the doctor for and seems like it just requires a little rest so I'm wondering if anyone here knows. Jam it back in, in the dark. ![]() |
I have had something like this happen.
I got a pinched or pulled nerve when I was swimming and I reached my arm back too far. It did not hurt much at the time and it was good that night when I went to bed. From then on when ever I reached my arm to scratch my back the sharp pain would show up, but my arm down and it would be fine. I actually had this issue for about a month, but it went away slowly but surely. I am not sure if there are any creams or anything that you can use to speed up the healng process. There's nowhere I can't reach. |
I would suggest resting it for a while and after a week, if it has worsened or if has remained the same, then I would suggest going to the doctor and get something for it. There is some great medication that will help relieve pinched nerves. Just keep and eye on it.
Get well soon. ![]() This thing is sticky, and I don't like it. I don't appreciate it. |
